Flea bay cuz. Get a knock off torch handle WITH built in flashback arrestors for less than $50. I can't tell in the video if your running a victor 315c or a victor 100c handle. Go for the fc line up though. Built in flashback arrestors on them. Also you can rebuild your regulators. Amazon or flea bay rebuild kits about $30.

Considering a purchase of 1994 bus. Cummins 5.9. Allison mt643. 110k miles. Would love some thoughts and advice
@jaredc.3508
@jaredc.3508 Жыл бұрын
the 5.9 (assuming it's a 12 valve since it's a '94) is a good, reliable and durable engine. the mt643 is a 4 speed auto with a 1:1 ratio in 4th. it has no overdrive, it'll suck fuel like no other but the transmission's are fairly stout. just don't hop the engine up past 300 hp and the transmission should last
@axkirby

@@jaredc.3508 if I'm paying 5.5k for it, is it worth changing the trans (I have a great diesel mechanic). It will be for living in while my house is being built.

It's the same dip just a different cut lol... cope LC is natural and the grey can is just extra long cut natural. Also LC is the original and it's been around since 1822 not the 90s

Also on the the cat. If it been setting for a time. Prime it a few times.with the pump on the side of the fuel filter.

Make suer you put something in the fuel for the cat if it has not been updated injectors. The new fuel dose not have the same mix it had baxk in the day. With are 80s mod cat we run a cup of trans flued to 50 gal of fuel. And it runs fantastic and. No smoking. And have ove 300 000 miles.

A word of warning for the F700 you bought, the brakes are Lucas Girling hydraulic brakes with hydraulically compressed spring parking brakes. The brakes are extremely expensive to repair as parts are out of this world. Also, they just suck at stopping. If you are loaded going downhill they will damn near not stop you so please learn how to drive it and learn its limitations and how to react. Otherwise they are good trucks and heavy duty. Also, since you are commercial a guy will need a Class C drivers license to drive it since its commercial. Its not technically a CDL but still requires a written and driving test.
@colin1665
@colin1665 Жыл бұрын
Class C is essentially an upgraded Class D which is a normal drivers license. Class D is 0-15,999 and Class C is 16,000-26,000. You do not need a CDL for 26,000 or less if its not commercial. That is where the common misconception is about the 26,001 rule. If you were just personal use anyone could drive up to 26,000

That ol' 3116 still has plenty of life left in her - I wanna hear plenty of good audio clips from it in the future! 3116's are my favorite CATs of all time, I didn't think the HEUI 3116 came out that early. I've been searching around for a Mechanical Injection 3116 Kodiak to convert into a pickup 😁

You could probably find a nicer truck than the gmc without an engine and put the cat in that truck or sell the engine and make more money lol and possibly put the manual transmission in the ford

Same shit, just different cut. The flavor will change depending on cut & the fact its in plastic and not fiberboard. But they're literally the same blend of tobacco. Only thing different between the 3 is the cut, which will change the flavor.
