In 4 states without sultan as ruler, there is a governor and chief minister. For the other 9 states with malay sultan, they take turn every 5 years to be king.

Very interesting. If I wanted to visit a village in Tibet, but without having to go at 4000 to 5000 meter, which Tibetan village would be at a lower altitude ? where could I get the tibetan experience without risking altitude sickness ? Thank you.
@thecubbages10 күн бұрын
Yeah. It is possible to stay at lower altitudes. We can help you arrange this as you will need a Tibet Travel Permit. Feel free to send us an email: [email protected]

what type of foreigners visit western china and how has COVID and the geopolitical push by the USA and its Allies like Israel, Australia etc to isolate and slow China's rise on the world stage affected western visitor numbers to the western part of china.

Covid seems to have further isolated China from the rest of the world. I see less tourists now incoming than I did before Covid. China 🇨🇳 is still open for tourists and people are coming in but I think in general they rely more heavily on their huge domestic population for tourism support.

We were there in February and it was very cold. Even almost -15 Celsius inside the hotel. September will be fantastic. That is the beginning of the fall foliage.

Thank you Ben! What was the highest altitude during your hike?
@thecubbages25 күн бұрын
I got up to about 4,400 meters. But if you actually summit some of the Four Susters you can get up to 5,100 or 5,200 meters. Which is definitely enough to make you walk a bit slow and breathe hard!

In fact, the water in Tiger Leaping Gorge during the dry season is emerald green and very beautiful. At the Zhonghu Jumping Gorge Scenic Area, hiking from the Tinas Inn to the bottom of the canyon, there is a Tiger Jumping Stone where you can take photos and get up close to the turbulent Jinsha River
