Neither Judy nor Andrea ever needed auto-correct. Pure ringing voices with lovely vibrato.

For those who mighy want to sing along Haul out the holly Put up the tree before my spirit falls again Fill up the stocking I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute Candles in the window, carols at the spinet Yes, we need a little Christmas, right this very minute Hasn't snowed a single flurry, but Santa dear we're in a hurry Climb down the chimney Turn on the brightest string of lights I've ever seen Slice up the fruit cake It's time we've hung some tinsel on the evergreen bough For I've grown a little leaner, grown a little colder Grown a little sadder, grown a little older And I need a little angel sitting on my shoulder Need a little Christmas now Haul out the holly Well, once I taught you all to live each living day Fill up the stocking But Auntie Mame, it's one week past Thanksgiving Day now For we need a little music, need a little laughter Need a little singing ringing through the rafter And we need a little snappy, happy ever after We need a little Christmas now

I have so much to say after finding your channel, but mostly thank you for putting up these albums. When I was exploring myself 20 years ago it meant so much to me that Megan sang songs with the female pronouns left in the songs... Gay representation wasn't anything like it is nowadays. I know now that she was mostly just singing beautiful songs that she loved, but it meant a lot at the time. I met her in Chicago. I wish KZfaq allowed photos. She is a beautiful person. Thank you again.

I can totally see her voicing a Disney Princess in a Disney Animation Princess Movie. She’s got the chops for it! I’m getting Rapunzel vibes when I hear her sing. She definitely would have been able to pull that off beautifully!

I see overwhelmingly positive reviews here and on Wikipedia it says they did the entire fellowship of the rings in the first act -- did that really translate well on stage?? Just curious, not trolling =)
@technicolour0 Жыл бұрын
I will probably be unpopular for saying this, but I think that Andrea McArdle was woefully miscast as Judy Garland. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think she was untalented. She was obviously perfect as Annie on stage and her childlike but powerful voice was well suited to that show. Playing Judy Garland however, was just too larger shoes for her to fill. The reason Garland was so extraordinary is that she had the most beautiful , rich and unusual contralto voice that belied her tender age. She also had a god-given instinct for interpreting a song, rather than just belting it out. Much better I think was the 90s biopic of Garland where Tammy Blanchard (a ringer for Garland) played the young Judy and they sensibly used Garlands own voice to great effect. Jackie Cooper who directed Rainbow later said that he regretted using McArdle and that she was difficult to work with, although I’m not aware that he ever explained why. I find her singing much more interesting since she has matured. I understand that it was an impression of Garland in Rainbow, rather than an impersonation, but there were just no similarities whatsoever, either physically, boa ally or singing style. Give me the real thing any day.
