Thanks George I have the Helm Komodo (2.5 years) and I covet it as much as my Oris Aquis. So I bought this Cadisen in the last sale with a fitted end tropical strap, as a beater, so my true beater does not get beaten🤣

:)))) I think that's the definition of a true enthusiast . I can see why people like them, but I, unfortunately do not have the wrist or the patience for one. I have friends with two and the adore them!

Yeah don't wait for the real thing, Have to have it now so buy a clomage and know its still not the real thing, and everyone else who knows watches knows too. LOL. Pass if I cant wait for the real deal then I didn't really want it.

Hello George! Greetings from Brazil. I need to give you a watch tip. Very cheep one from Cadisen, with a Myiota 8215 series on it. It's another Cadisen model C8225 a homage (I think so) to a Hamilton Jazzmaster Slim. For about 40 US dolars. You just need to change the awful bracelet for a nice leather strap. It has a 38mm diameter, with sapphire (no AR) and a 22mm lugs (a bit strange, but it looks very cool). I have the blue one (all steel) I change the bracelet to a brown leather strap. I love this cheap watch.

For me, I’m usually not a supporter of Homaging Micro Brands. However, I don’t believe anyone who wants a Helm will be satisfied with just getting this. Also when Helm started, AliExpress was a joke, and it was “worth” the wait to get such a high quality piece at such a low price. It’s not the case anymore. Again all my humble opinions. Thanks for the great review!

A replica of a micro brand? That`s a bit sad... Just pay a bit more and wait for the real one. I`d also much prefer an NH35 to Miyota 8000, and the lume. Its more important to support micro brands than the likes of Rolex and Omega etc.

Agree on all the above. But Helm has a long wait-list for a watch that you might not like. So 86 euros can save you in the long run!

How big is your wrist? I've been on the fence about picking one up (they are deeply on sale right now, like $30) but I have a 7.25 in wrist so worried it might wear small with the large bezel

Not all that of a watch specially with the polished case sides, better with a brushed side cases and as you pointed out the bezel function in relation to the alignment is not right. I would not buy it even for $150

Why would you use a Sellita movement and then delete the seconds hand? Just use quartz and knock $600 off the price. No one would know the difference.

Hey there! thanks for the comment and support. The movement alone in those things is closer to 300 dollars. I do agree with you that it's a bit steep but I think we're so used to microbrans being on the cheaper end that we forget that these things cost money to produce!

Good video thanks George. I don't mind the lack of a second hand as don't get so annoyed if watch not running accurately. I find a two hander easier to set as you don't need to wait for a second hand to go to zero to match phone time. Despite a decent movement you can pick a Hamilton Jazzmaster or Intra-Matic on the grey market below $500, they both have s similar movement with the ETA2892. I think they offer nicer dials and a date. I own the Jazzmaster Thinline and its one of the favourites in my collection

Very true, there will always be other or better options, but like I said, I think this watch is aimed to a different audience that doesn't look at movements and always compares everything. Hey there, thanks for the comment and support. That's true, I don't have a timegrapher either, I use a phone app that listens to the ticks inside. But let's face it, how much more regulating does it need when it comes out of the box at +4 seconds per day. Thanks again for the comment.

For all of you crying about this watch not having a sapphire crystal...call your dam local jeweler and be be prepared to pay to have a sapphire crystal installed but don't whine and complain about this issue as if it's something that can't be remedied. As for me, I think Citizen made the right call on this watch to include a mineral crystal rather than a sapphire crystal. I rather have a shatter resistant crystal on a pilot tool watch than a scratch resistant one. End of story.

As an owner of this Citizen Nighthawk watch that is built like a tank and going on ten years on my wrist with no issues since I bought it, I will invalidate all your 5 reasons for not liking this watch. The watch is not BIG....the problem is your wrist is SMALL. Reason 1 invalidated. Mineral crystal is more shatter proof than sapphire crystal. The only benefit of sapphire is its scratch resistance. Reason 2 invalidated. The dial is NOT busy...your brain capacity to read it properly is the problem here. Reason 3 invalidated. The bezel turns smoothly and easily because this is NOT a dive watch but rather a tool watch for pilots. Reason 4 invalidated. No lume on the GMT hand? Are you serious? This is a tool watch for pilots and NOT a world travelers watch. Lume on the GMT hand NOT required on this watch. Reason 5 invalidated. Conclusion: Your 5 reasons for not liking this watch have all been invalidated sir and seem more like a nitpicker issue. I suggest you see a psychiatrist for that problem. Nothing left to say.😁

I’ve bought many other alli watch brands and Cadisen delivers rock solid quality every time. My aqua racer homage is incredibly rugged and I’ve worn it diving, underwater hull cleaning…etc. not a single problem. By comparison; I was wearing a pagani design chronograph last week when the crystal just fell off and shattered on the asphalt. Didn’t hit it on anything…it just sled off. Cadisen is my Alli brand of choice.
