@@jacobgarcia3597 Yes, Lophophora grow very well exclusively under grow lights. Grow tents are great because they keep the temperature up, which cacti like. 🙂

The pasteurization method is a little more complicated, but it will fight much better against contamination.

I don't use the dimmer on mine. Yes, even mature plants are sensitive to too much light. I would keep it two to three feet away.

When germinating, I use spring water. At every other stage of life I use tap water. I've used tap water in three different cities with no problems. Of course, every city is different.

Question: What if you have buttons but they haven't started regrowing their roots yet? Would you still put them on top of a layer of sand, or would you put it directly on the potting mix in this case until the roots start to come in? How about planting 3 or 4 on the same pot? Also when watering the sand start to sink untill it finally comes through? Thats what has happened when growing from seeds and soil has sand in it. I used 25-35% sand in my mix.

Have just sown mine today I have used planting pots and sealed them in sandwich/freezer bags. I gave mine a little squeeze just to feel the casing of the seed crack, dropped on top of damp soil and sprinkled water with my fingers to seal them down (haven't got a spray bottle that doesnt smell chemically). Will let you know how it goes..... 😂
