Just scorched some knotty Douglas Fir t&g (and washed and washed the soot off) and that's my last touch at this point; Jimmy you're right especially in the sun whatever you treat an outdoor wood with, you'll need to touch it again in 2-3 years it just deteriorates from the weather. I am guaranteeing my work to this client and I am looking forward to maybe putting some wax on it in a few years, otherwise watching it patina. Pretty slick project, thanks for the video!

Table Top Aperture would be the most literal way to define what you made. Aperture Access... Something like that. That project was quite inspiring. Gets the imagination working.

Nicely done. Love the iris for the cover to the burner. Name I thought of was Prometheus table. Since he brought flame to man in Greek myth. Figure the Iris would be his way of storing it on the journey.

Very cool design, I’d definitely have this on my patio. I’m curious whether the heat will be enough to warp the metal and cause alignment issues. May need further tweaking down the road but like you say, you go to school on the first one.
