Hi Amy, I have leg old scars and planning to use the essential oils of Helichrysum and Frankincense ( watched your video). My carrier oil would be castor oil, avocado oil or raw unrefined shea butter. Please let me know how can I measure this. I’m confused.

I recently noticed my sense of smell was compromised. I did some research online and found out that this is linked to memory. I have a memory problem as well as sleep issues. I like to sing so I tried to make a connection. Do you think sense of smell could have a positive effect on singing? I imagine it can affect emotions. I am going to try this and see if I can regain my sense of smell and hopefully memory. On a side note, I once had apathetic thoughts towards aromatherapy, but now I see how essential smell is to the human experience. God bless you.

Dealing with parosmia (distorted sense of smell and taste), I’ve been doing scent retraining for about a week and notice improvements! I can smell (accurately) oregano, cinnamon, lemon, lavender, peanut butter. However coffee, garlic powder, onion powder and most hot foods smell very foul & pungent. They smell the same & taste the same. Laundry detergent, soap, deodorant, shampoo etc all smells like the same strong chemical, identical smell. It’s so bizarre!! I see my ENT on Friday.

@officialamygalperАй бұрын
Actually I don't believe there are any oils that can never be blended together! Ha! Certainly there are some that should never be used on the skin or diffused...but creating aromas...there are no limitations
@waldoadams1611Ай бұрын
@@officialamygalper okay. Thanks for clarifying. I will venturing into perfumery using natural fragrances/essential oils so I don't want to create a poison inadvertantly.

Do you have a recipe for a large amount to spray your yard? Especially for mosquitoes and fleas. I found a product that used essential oils but was $30 a gallon. It had the essential oils of rosemary, lemongrass, cedarwood, garlic, Citronella and Geraniol. Also I got mosquitoes in my rain barrel. Is there something I can add to it to get rid of the mosquitoes and still use it to water my plants. I need to make some kind of cover for the rain barrel. We got so much rain this past month that it's kind of build up and I've not needed to use any water yet. Sincerely Cathy
@officialamygalperАй бұрын
A gallon is 128 ounces, so you can just keep doubling the recipe for that amount. make sense? thanks for the comment

You say to use the heavier oils at night while sleeping. How do i keep them off pillowcases, sheets, blankets and hair? Is there a secret? Please help.

Ah! they can stain your sheets and pillow cases...so that is a potential problem. They wash out. But it is annoying.

When you are adding water into your product, do not use sink water use distilled water so it doesn’t grow any bacteria and germs into it

It doesn't make sense to me that I should choose the one smell I like and so forth. Blending should be like baking, you need certain ingredients, certain amount to bake a great cake. You cannot say I'll put more milk here, maybe some more butter.. It doesn't work that way
@officialamygalper2 ай бұрын
Well actuallly...you havea. good point. That's why if you really want to learn to blend essential oils you really should study aromatherapy - and take a class that dives deep into the therapeutics and aromatics. I actually have my own method of blending that I teach in my aromatherapy course. Are you an aromatherapist?

It would've been soooooo much better if you told how many drops of Essential oil will make 3% in two teaspoon career oil THAT IS IT.
@officialamygalperАй бұрын
2 teaspoons of carrier is equivalent to 10 grams. 3% would be .3 grams. so depending on what your oils are, each oil has a different molecular weight. Measure out your oils to weigh .3 grams, and make sure to count the drops. But you are better off weighing in grams for more precision.

I too have lost my sense of smell for 5 months now... I have been doing smell therapy for 2-1/2mos now. Not as intense as your technique but 2 times a day with 4 oils. Some days I get slight whiff but then other days I have none. I am going to try your way with 3 times a day with the meditative imagination perhaps it is this strong brain focus that will finally restart my olfactory senses. I have a passion for food, and wine and aromas and this loss is very disheartening at times 🙏🏻
