oh. I would honestly suggest using a Sony 20mm pancake lens. Mainly due to weight. 11m would have warped edges. If you have a good over the top tripod setup then sigma 16mm at f5.6 would be good. It will be heavy but worth it.

XQ1 prices sky rocketed man. I think it is due to a fad. I got mine for like $200-$250 or less 2nd hand. if they updated this with a 1" sensor then people will compare this to a rx100 which is a good camera as well. Canon GX5 might be a good pick as well if u fancy loading in your own custom profiles (luts), something NO one mentions but I feel like I'm gatekeeping cause the price is already quite high for this cam.

@@EwanLim i had the XQ1 and the XF1. I paid between 80-150 years ago. The XF1 was better but the lens issue ruined it. But the picture quality was not much better than the old f50fd

pretty sure cannibalising their other recorders is a concern. I gave it some thought and heating issues might be a possibility.

i don't have the ssd space for CinemaDNG. Unless I get higher paying clients. hahaha

@@EwanLim I use a Velocity Cine 128Gb Pro Master V90 Code 7419 SD card - it is the ONLY SD card which I have been able to record 8 bit CDNG - no real need for 12 bit.

I meant using an app to tether iOS with FP L. the only thing I can find is capture 1. but it does not give live view for FP L. PITY

go into settings if you did not set the iso settings to appear in your quick menu. it is quite a hassle tbh.

the zve10, using 4k30 and active steadyshot (which is a must otherwise the footage looks horribile on this body) will crop 1.4x. which means the 11mm with active steadyshot will become like a 16mm without steadyshot on. so the 11mm is the better choice in this regard. the 16mm will become 35mm. now if you want to vlog talking head etc... 11mm for sure. if you want the camera to sit on a tripod and have the space, the 16mm will be good too. its all depends on how you shoot. and you can always use the cropping factor of 4k30p and steadyshot, to change the focal length too.

true about the set and forget it cameras. Aside from the ATEM Mini, did you use the Sony App for Multi-Cam?

@@EwanLim I never had a need to use the app for my home setup. However, for a mobile setup the app may come in handy.

To be honest, maybe get any apple iphone or Samsung S series phone. Any older pocket/compact camera by Fuji or Sony would be good. I wouldn’t recommend the rx0 specifically for photos

That is a hard question. It depends on on location as well. How small it is and etc. if it is a tight space then 5mm makes all the difference. And 0.4 in Aputure does have like half a stop difference but it doesn’t really matter tbh.

@@EwanLimthabks for your input.I do small and medium venues, very packed tight spaces but also Ive been doing some festivals lately and veering off more into that work. Factoring that in would you go for the 16mm or the 11mm?

@@SOR2RO mate at the end, you should probably have booth. if you have the sony kit lens, you can use that on 16mm for video, and get the 11mm. so at least you focal length is covered to your needs then in the future invest in the 16mm sigma. I have the sigma and I love this lens, its so sharp and wide enough, and very bright, it is much heavier tho than the 11mm so just a consideration. for my personal use the 16mm is wide enough tho, try and rent one for a day to see if you like it.

judging from the native sony app using usb, it was pretty laggy. the only low latency solution would be the micro hdmi out. I didn’t want to talk about using its usb control function because it was pretty bad.

oh 16mm and 56mm f1.4 sigma. 56mm sigma for close ups. or any other macro lens. 11mm is somewhat an ultrawide so you might have warp around the edges so you can't zoom in if you have anyone close to the lens. it depends on how you're shooting as well but I would advise on the 16mm f1.4 sigma lens

nope. just remember to frame urself then turn on the selfie light. kind of a non-issue for a lot of people as long as you frame yourself correctly.

it depends on the type of photo you're taking as well but yeah. most modern phones are great and can even shoot in RAW too.

very super duper true. which is why i was hesitant doing this part of the video. like… can u REALLY tell the difference? with the youtube compression and the different quality choices every viewer watches at? like i said in the video, “can you tell the difference?”. if I can’t even tell in the edit then how can the viewers tell? i just did it to get it over and done with since people are still curious about it. sorry for the rant, i actually had a long portion beechin about how people can’t tell but it sounds belittling other people since it was too technical and I’m not in a “youtube position” to do so.

Depends on the picture profile you're using. For Slog2, it will be 800 but u can set it to 500 for whatever reason. Standard Picture will be 100.

that is such an awesome lens. Do remember that having image stabilization will crop it slightly so 18mm might FEEL tight. I would suggest getting the Sigma 11-20mm f2.8 as well but the Sony 11mm f1.8 or even the Samyang 12mm f2 will do the trick.

it is horribly bad. tried playing Rust on it and it mostly plays fine till there are graphical glitches. m1-m3 chips really can’t handle the gpu power needed.

Its not GX switch. Its Kaihl Switch. Especially that propriotory Key cap hole and ots 2 pron like Leg. Keychron didnt have that Problem. The only issue is Khailh bottom Pin is Smaller than MX Standar and Keychron's. I dont mind really Having to Wasted some RM400+ or 100USD on logitech. What im not OK, was the Khailh Switch.

g9x feels slower when using. not sure why. i THINK you can load your own custom picture profile if u use a canon program on pc/mac. Not a lot of people know that but u can load your own “looks” (basically input ur own lut into the program to input into the camera under user custom 1/2/3) You can just download ur own fuji look into the camera, which is what I used to do. in terms of which i prefer, I’d choose the fujifilm because the “feeling” of taking photos is just better. if u still want a canon then get the g5x mk2 2nd hand. edit: g5x ii over the g7x ii because it has a longer zoom.

@@drkluscious that is super sad. the only modern 'pocket' camera worth anyone's time right now is the Sony ZV-1 or the last RX100. Everything else like the Fuji X100 is too bulky to be considered a 'compact' camera. I do get almost depressed thinking about it sometimes.

Photos: fujifilm xq-1 Videos: iPhone4 onwards. hahahaha iPhone15 is better for videos ARGUABLY, IF you shoot raw on iPhone 15, it is better in bright daylight for photos.

Strangely mobile like androids have slightly better videos given some can shoot at 4k with stabilisation.

If you don't might a slight crop on the bottom edges, you could straighten out the distorted image and get a great long landscape shot. These can be soooo soo so beautiful. The CIC does get kinda tight though.
