In 2004 I traveled to Japan for work, yen was 107 We were like…yeah! We could buy a lot, lol In 2024…. Yen hit 150 yen!!! Crazy how the dollar keeps getting stronger! As for reference…100 yen is one dollar

Traditional sweet bread has lemon in it and we brush an egg wash on top giving it a shiny more soft top.

I use watercress in a stir fry with ground beef, julienne cut carrots, minced garlic, sliced round onions, light shoyu, oyster sauce, pepper, pinch of sugar and watercress (cut into 2 in. pieces).

How fun!!! Disneyland is magical and you could see the sparkle in Ellie’s eyes as she throughly enjoyed herself. It’s so true that traveling with a toddler needs to be more leisurely and so so packed. Quality time with family is #1 ❤ Thank you for sharing your adventures 💞

I made this tonight! Reid is a genius! Easy and delicious. This recipe is a keeper. I listened to Cari's tip about adding meat. I added ground Italian sausage, and it was a perfect addition. My son and husband at all the leftovers and they never eat leftovers! ❤

Don't know if I expressed our deepest condolences to the Tamamoto family on Grandma's passing. I really enjoyed her cutting my hair once a month for my weekend duty in the Hawaii Army National Guard. God bless Grandma and the whole family!!! Enjoy watching all your videos to pick up recipes for every day cooking. Take care and Aloha to all!!!

I hope you guys are having a awesome vacation!! We plan on coming up to Hokkaido sometime this summer. The weather up there doesn"t warm up until June. Japan has many local trains that allow one to explore many places without renting a car. For example, you can take a local train from Sapporo to Otaru and all the way down to Hakodate. On our next trip, we plan on renting a car and drive around Hokkaido for about a month. Hokkaido is huge with plenty of open spaces and places to visit. Have a great trip and thanks for sharing your trip with us!
