I think the most scared I’ve ever been when flying is when we were flying back from Midway Atoll én route back to home base and we lost two engines on our C-130H. That one had my butthole puckered up the entire time

There are non electric seat controls also for use when there is no battery or generator power. And I think those controls can move the seat faster than the electric motors.

I think pilots use jargon, not slang.

I mostly travel Premium Economy and when doing that you are the first to get off the plane and people who are champing at the bit to get out have to wait. Makes me really happy lol.

There was a flight to Australia a while back where an Airbus took an unexpected dive. I think it's flight QF72, but I can't be sure. Watched a documentary on KZfaq about it. There was a difficult to reproduce error in the data which caused 2 extreme dives. I'm not sure if this is the Airbus situation mentioned in the video.

I love the idea that a trained commercial airline pilot doesn’t have the quick thinking and reflexes to lift his tray up as the seat moved back into place.

I seem to remember exactly the scenario he described actually happening... not on a 787, I do not think... but there was a case where a very slightly bumped seat caused the tray to slide in such a way as either it, or something else moved by it blocked the controls in an undesirable position.... causing the plane to pitch down with a negative 1.5G... there were a few passenger injuries, though, most were seatbelt fastened since the weather was not great, so no severe ones, I think one of the stewards was up, and got pretty beat up, but also nothing permanent. there were changes recommended but it is not impossible since you still apparently eat in your seat. and think nothing of it.... there was a video about this incident on either Blancolirio or Mentour-Pilot/Mentour-now.... (these are the three channels I watch on the topic... I am excluding yourself from the possible creators, since I am giving you the benefit of the doubt, and still thinking you are too professional to do a total 180 on something like this)
