Rebecca Caine is incredible and well cast for the role. Claire Lyon would make for a better Carlotta, and a decent vocal rival. As for the rest… no.

Alexander Lewis and Julie Goldwin are wonderfully cast! The operatic richness is evident in both of their voices and they do a wonderful job conveying their roles! Among the best and some of my favorites.

Anthony’s voice is so sumptuous for the role.

Honestly, both are miscast in these roles. Both of their voices are thin and not substantial for the roles they were assigned to play. Gary is hammy here and there is no reason to make the character camp. This isn’t Phantom of the Paradise or Rocky Horror. Gary’s voice and acting was better when he sang as Raoul and he made for an excellent Raoul interpreter. As for Elizabeth, her acting is definitely better than her singing.

Anna is the most relatable and human sounding Christine and I love her so much Anthony is the only phantom who I would 100% follow into the basement sewers, his voice lives up to what the Phantom's voice should be

It's so frustrating because Katie had the potential to have been christine in the 25th concert. ALW should have cast her instead of the extremely overrated sierra who was way older for christine. Katie & John Owen Jones were heartbreakingly beautiful together. These bootlegger jerks should have recorded a full video of John with Katie in poto at Majesty's :'(

Out of the dozen or so Phantoms I've seen live, Warlow's was by far the best. Apart from his MASTERFUL vocal prowess, his portrayal of the character was riddled with nuance - frustration, anger, sensitivity, sadness, madness, intelligence, beauty. One of the few musical theatre performers whose acting doesn't have to compensate for a restriction of vocal dexterity.

She's the best Christine vocally of them all. Many others fall flat. Too much mix voice, just something "off." Rebecca Luker was also excellent but there was a weirdness in the middle voice i didnt like in this role. It's very difficult because it's so low and yet also so high. Christine isn't as high as people think once u have the prerecorded C and E thrown in, the actual live section (rest of the score) is all middle voice and top of middle into head.

I cannot stand sierra, she is so extremely overrated, didn't look or sound the part and her belting really annoys me. The 25th anniversary cast should have been John Owen-Jones and Gina Beck or Katie Hall. The biggest injustice in the history of musical theatre what ALW and scumbag Mackintosh did. I agree about Lisa Vroman, she is the best vocally and the best broadway Christine though I also love Samantha Hill.

Saw the Curran Theater production in San Francisco back in the 1990s multiple times with Vroman and D'Ambrosio at the helm, and I also saw POTO in New York on Broadway around the same period. We, in all honesty, in San Francisco, had the better cast. Plus in the Curran there was a very intimate feeling (compared to the Majestic).
