The dragon at the end has totally different horns then what vermithor had in season 1. Vermithors horns in season 1 were very weird, almost like a fungus. This dragon at the end has actual horns, so im thinking it's a different dragon. Maybe silverwing.

Its def Vermithor, they may have tweaked the design a bit but it's definitely the bronze fury. Its way too big to be any other Dragon & its the wrong color for Silverwing

It’s vermithor. It’s in the exact same spot than he was in season 1, beneath the dragonmount. Plus it’s way too big to be Silverwing and not the right color scheme.

Daemon says in the season one finale that both vermithor and silverwing dwell in the dragonmount so it's not impossible for silverwing to be in the same spot as vermithor.. also you can't 100 percent tell colors in certain scenes.. look at dreamfyre in season one when aemond went to the dragon pit.. she looked like a black dragon...

It very well could be. It just doesn't make sense to me why they would change the design from season one.. if they were going to change the design, why show us vermithor at all in season 1. When I look at the scene from season one and look at the end of this trailer, it clearly looks like two different dragons 🤷🏻♂️

Yes but she survived somehow & woke up in a hospital back in the real world. The last scene of Season 2 was her looking out of the hospital window.

Yea, Toranaga's early years are just as compelling as his reign. Seeing him serve under Oda Nubanaga & his feud with Hideyoshi would make a great Prequel.

I could, of course be WAY wrong, but my theory on this show is that everybody is actually in a lab or hospital, (maybe where Tabitha is waking up)?. Maybe they're all part of a scientific research group for extreme stress on the body and they've all agreed to participate, on the condition that they go in with their mind blank and understanding that it won't actually be real. So they're being fed these hallucinations and images of the town and its monsters. And the strongest residents will live in the town and survive the longest, dealing with the most trauma, aka, collecting the most data. When you finally "die" in the town, you awaken back in the lab/hospital with your memories intact to give account of how you adapted when situations changed and new obstacles showed up. Can't wait to see more!

The monsters have _always_ been that way, though. They don’t just kill their victims, they torture them. It's been a hallmark of their existence since the very first couple of episodes.

No this is much different from how they started off. Yes they always seemed to want ppl afraid but they always kill their victims. Now they’re doing something else entirely. They’re not trying to kill Boyd, they’re trying to break him. Which is a clear change in tactics

They have never quite acted like this. They operate on fear yes but they always kill their victims. Now not only are they acting differently in terms of mannerisms but they're not trying to kill in this scene, they're trying to break Boyd. Which is something they've never tried doing in the past. Even the creator of the show stated the monsters will be evolving.

If the second season picks up and deals with Toranaga and the way he achieves the Shogunate, that would be fine. But leave Blackthorn behind. Show Anjin-san in a few scenes sprinkled throughout the season but let it deal mainly with the war.

THIS EPISODE IS STUPID!!! IT MAKES NO SENSE AND THE WRITERS DID NOT RESEARCH!! FLAWS: 1) Mariko was tasked to A) rescue Toranaga's Wife, Consort and New Son, and escort them from the castle. B) if refused to leave, that proves all the "royals" are prisoners. Her "Suicide" was to Embarrass Ishido and the Court. 2) Since Ishido relented to release Mariko and the others, HER DUTY WAS TO GET THEM TO Toranaga, letting herself be killed was BREAKING THE PLEDGE to Toranaga!! MAKE NO SENSE, ESPECIALLY since she just found Love with Blackthorne!! 3) THERE IS NO HISTORY OF WOMEN OF ROYALITY COMMITING SEPPUKU! Mariko was a "Lady", ie Royalty, and NOT A SAMURAI! QUOTE: The custom known as "seppuku," which specifically refers to ritual suicide by disembowelment, was reserved for men of the samurai class in feudal Japan. Samurai women had different methods, which traditionally involved either slashing their own throat or stabbing themselves in the heart.Apr 16, 2024" AGAIN, MARIKO WAS NOT A SAMURAI, She Was Royality, "Lady"!!! Actually, they skipped a lot of content from the book. That they didn't explored and adapted in this adaptation. Such as the relationship between Toranaga and his other son. Or Blackthorne and Fuji (Fujiko in the Novel)'s relationship. And his marriage to Kiku-san in the novel. I think it is safe to say they can do a sequel of sorts. Great video ❤

I finished watching this series both season just few hrs ago all i can say is i didn't like the ending much because i wanted the family together at the end atleast but taby wokeup in other city and they didn't even show the other character in ending jim and his childrens as well

Seriously doubt a sequel season will ever happen. A better idea would be for the producers of Shogun to consider a remake of "Tai-Pan" in a similar 10-episode format. Tai-Pan is Clavell's other mega-blockbuster novel based on the founding of Hong Kong and it has all the fascinating elements that Shogun has. Many years ago Dino di Laurentiis made this really bad, cheesy film based on Tai-Pan and now seems an opportune time for a total remake, as they did with the 1980 Shogun TV mini-series. Keep it fresh.

Since uploading this video it has already been confirmed. A season 2 with Hiroyuki Sanada reprising his role is coming. Only question now is, will ut be a continuation or a prequel.

Okay, this interesting, of course the producers and directors have to know that they have their work cut out for them. The Original "Shogun" will be a tough act to follow. I certainly hoping and wishing them and all the fans the best. It would be a shame to ruin a good thing.

Season 2: - Shogun: How he become Shogun? At the End it is said he is already Shogun - Blackborn: How he left Japan? He never would made it :) So, His Adventures as Forign Advisor/Minister? - How they beat the Portuguese and Spain to leave Japan? Possible. But do we really want to see some Shogun + Blackborn against Portugal? Perhaps Spain use this as opportunity to take Japan over. Sadly the "Gunboats" is years away and they had John Wayne doing this stuff... Not my Type

I agree as well, the acting, writing, dialog & world it was set in was all done so well that i didn't even care about the lack of battles either. This was a great character piece that focused more on good story, character development & political intrigue, & it worked well i thought. I think a big portion of today's audience is always looking for a big spectacle, but any halfway decent writing can throw together a fight/battle scene. But to craft a world like this & make it as intriguing as it was without all the spectacle, is the mark of great storytelling imo.
