Hi! I'm loving this project! I'm a knitter so I thought I'd try crochet for on e and this had been really helpful! Thank you! I'd like to add some pockets to the inside of my bag once I'm done with it, but I'm unsure if a mattress stitch will be appropriate for that. Do you have any recommendations on this?

The only issue is it looks like this BO edge has a row of eyelet lace, which does not match the CO edge, doing garter st on an afghan. Will have to find something not so lace-like!

very nicely explained - thanks! i’ll give it a go. there’s one thing that i don’t understand though. i’ve experimented with 4 or 5 different versions of making jogless stripes this week, and i’ve got that many more yet to try - i’m really serious about learning how to do it! but every single one looks terrible. i think it might be because i pull the join on my dpn’s too tight? i always end up with a prominent hole. help! (please😉)

Is this cast off suitable for the waist of a top down sweater?

Great video, I do have a question, if I wanted to make the picot longer would I just add more stitches? I’m new to knitting. Thanks for a very clear and informative video.

Perfect! I tend to bind off too tight with my current method, so hopefully switching to this method this will help!

I loom knit and I started crocheting my borders, I have a question should my work have the front facing me or the back wrong side facing me when I start the first row of border?

Knit: yarn goes to the back of the work, under the needle, over the top of the needle, then back of the work. Purl: yarn comes to the front of the work, under the needle, around over the top of the needle, then to the front again to purl.

Hi what If my first stitch is a purl??
@tammyvanderstarren5712Ай бұрын
So if I need to reuse the yarn it's blocked already, I can roll it back up and use it in my project if my project isn't blocked yet ?

Why if I started 11, at the next row I don't have 12. I am short one.

The first method does make the stitch loose looking. I’ve been changing the sts round before knitting but it is difficult on fine lace. ❤

The tip about the crochet hook size just saved me a lot of time. I went down a size before bit problem of puckering continued so goin up a size solved that problem. Thank you very much.

I followed your tutorial to bind off my new gloves but they looked different. So I went to the comments saw the Icelandic bind off & checked it out. Somehow the first time I bound off with your tutorial I did it the Icelandic way instead. Sometimes there's no accounting for user error😂🤣🤣🤣
