Our Westie now, Rocky, is from a puppy mill that was shut down by our county Humane Society. He is such a picky eater! We feed him salmon and sweet potatoe, grain free kibble. I bath him with Dawn dish liquid. And baby shampoo for his head. We also keep our grass mowed short. We have a pool and he loves to swim! I think the chlorine helps disinfect his skin. He has beautiful thick hair and healthy pink skin. Considering where he came from he is amazingly healthy. We.consider ourselves blessed to have him. He is now 10 yrs old. Love your channel!

Our first Westie (Jack) was a rescue from a puppy mill. He had demodectic mange. Ear infection, diabetic, and hypothyroidism. He was 75% bald and had scabs and oozing spots. But he had such a charming personality we adopted him anyway. And the journey began! We did most of the things you recommend and he was better. Never cured but better. Since he was from a puppy mill he was never in good health but we loved him dearly. He lived to 16 years!

My doggy will not even drink out of a dog bowl. She needs a glass with ice on a table and she sits in a chair. Even though the doggy bowl has clean water in it.

Really relief you made this video. I'm on the same situation - traveling with my dog from Portugal to NY - and I've struggled with DGAV before, so I was doing the research on my own, was on the same path you described but not so confident it will work. No I am confident. Obrigada ♡

I'm so happy to hear that it helped! ❤️ Looking back I think I didn't need DGAV at all, just our vet who is certified could have signed on her own. i can say that westie has internal clock. if the meal isnt ready, mine would drag the bowl everywhere until we get him some. he knows when his bathtime, usually on saturdays/sundays on 3pm, so he runs up to his bath spot. every 10 pm, he’s already curled up in bed😅

Yes! my westie is very similar to your westie. The allergies and very pick with his food. And stubborn as well. But they are adorable and very smart.!!!😄🤩👍

this is so westie! the bathroom time, man… its either they come with you or lay in front of the door. sadly, i have to be ready for saying goodbye to my 12yo westie bc of lymphoma in no time. im so devastated right now😢
