Like the videos. I just bought a pathfinder. im using it mainly to tow a pop up camper to boondocking sites then explore the forest service roads. No crazy trails but lots of rutted sometimes muddy roads. Do you recommend the ironman lift? It seems kind of pricy for 1.5 inch lift. If im not rock crawling im thinking anspacer lift on the front and maybe ironman heavy duty coils on the back may work
@JTube5712 ай бұрын
Honestly if I had to do it over again I would have gone with a different kit. Probably the Old Man Emu kit. But if you don't need more ground clearance and just want the slightly lifted look, then a body lift would be cheaper and less headache with the alignment. It doesn't like big suspension lifts.

Did they ever get the issue fixed with the TRE lockers? I was reading a while back that there were some issues with the machining in the diff for the retaining ring that's on the axle stub.

Some of you might notice a slight change in the video format on this one. I have moved from the typical 16:9 aspect ratio to a 2:1 ratio. Essentially 3840x1920. I feel it will give the videos more of a cinematic feel with the wider view, and it may fit newer phone screens better. If this change causes any issues with playback for you, please let me know. Thanks!

When is TNF/TRAL planning on removing the concrete? I remember seeing that in the past. I might be able to bring along a nice Hilti Rotohammer from my workplace that would make removing the concrete easier than renting a home depot hammer. I agree, keep that trail a challenge, I remember how quickly the Rolls area and Bulldog Canyon got extra trashed after TNF graded the roads back in 2010-2012 time frame.

Having an R51 myself using narrow tires is the key from what I discovered. No lockers on mine. Ran 235/85r16 best tire size on everything sand and rock crawling. Tried 285/70r17, and 265/75r17. The next tire size I'm trying is 255/85r17 "narrow 35s". Should be a mix of both tall and narrow tire advantages without wheel offset change or doing a body lift.
