Wash what exactly? Are you trying to leave out the weird activities that go on? Why is this religion so secretive on so many aspects. The founder of the mormon religion Joseph Smith had up to 40 wives at a time and didn't accept blacks to hold the priesthood. If thats not a 🚩then i dont know what is.

Evaluating the Scriptures without prejudice, with an honest heart, with a sincere desire to learn-literally the Scriptures say nothing about the "Law of Chastity." I started to wonder why didn't the Lord just call Exodus 20:14 / D&C 42:24 the "Law of Adultery"? Even then, those words are literally NOT in the Scriptures. I wonder why? Yet such a multi-threaded doctrine in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has such a minimal foundation in the Scriptures. I would think that such a doctrine would be more verbosely spoken of in the Scriptures. Even Jacob 2:28 states, "For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women." I'm curious to know why the Lord gives a lot of "thou shalt not"s which are warnings or violations of the commandments, when He could have given more assurance to be obedient. Ultimately, I think the Lord wants people to use critical thinking and analysis, mixed with purifying one's heart, with clean hands. I just don't understand why, more information from the Lord hadn't been given in a direct way.

Can you tell me where temple covenants are given in the scriptures? If it is only found in the D&C, how do we know these words aren’t just from men? Jesus never taught them, and they were not taught in the book of Mormon. The scripture that keeps coming to mind is “cursed is he that puts his faith in the arm of the flesh”

A thought that came into my mind as I read this. How do we know that Jesus never taught them? Not everything was written down in detail. Maybe it was too sacred to write down at that time. Just a thought.

Do you feel the need to issue an apology for this video in light of the new book of President Nelson's teaching released this past week? I mean, it literally says "Adam and Eve, Noah and his wife, Abraham and Sarah, Lehi and Sariah, and all other devoted disciples of Jesus Christ- since the word was created- have made the SAME (it's emphasized with italics in the actual text) covenants with God. They have received the SAME (again, italicized in the actual text) ordinances that we as members of the Lord's restored Church today have made: those covenants that we receive at baptism and in the temple." So... using the church's own definition of ordinance ("In the Church, an ordinance is a sacred, formal act or ceremony performed by the authority of the priesthood."), RMN is stating here that the formal act or ceremony performed in today's temple is the exact same as it was for Abraham, Adam, Lehi, etc. Yet, in your video here, you talk about changes they made in 2023 to the endowment ORDINANCE. Thoughts?

Is it saying that you need to go through Initiatories and the Endowment in order to enter the Celestial Kingdom? I received my Endowment in the Salt Lake temple. After my mission, my roommates and I went to the Manti temple. I'm grateful I had these experiences like my ancestors, however, I prefer the current still movies. I'm grateful to have seen the different movie Endowment versions, each actor stood out in different sections. Especially when speaking directly to me. I'm an audio visual learner. The Lord know what each generation needs to grow. For me receiving the tokens physically and switching the robes was needed when I was first learning but not now. I do miss the lights being turned on brighter from Telestial world to Terrestrial.

Why people posts videos teaching stories from other's people? If you want to know in one book source go to temple and cosmos from hugh nibley. The good thing that hugh has is that he doesnt tell you the meaning, it leaves you to find it and he just points to the right direction. The problem with this is there is no evidence the Mason’s used biblical influence to inspire the use of penalties so that’s a stretch. Also why remove them? I thought god was the same yesterday, today, and forever? Why does the endowment as part of the restored church need to be unrestored? The temple endowment is a moving target. Whenever the ceremony/wording starts making members feel uncomfortable due to societal norms changing (example: women no longer covenant to obey their husbands) it’s changed. They’ve progressively tried to make it less weird over time as to not freak people out so much when they go through. It’s still very weird and most members who end up in the celestial room after taking out their own endowment feel strange and wonder did I just join a cult? 😟

All those things you learn about, so no one has any idea about the plan of salvation before they go? Course not.. It seems to be mentioned on a pamphlet… just saying. The ward is a church. This temple is an ornate members only club where you need a card to enter. What religion has a separate building for select adults? Even cloisters have an area for nonresidents to enter to deal with business or observe the vow taking. Really there are secrets God does not want told about Himself until someone in your church gets sealed to a partner or goes on a mission? It’s not like you start going within a few months of turning 18 even.

The difference between the law of sacrifice and the law of consecration is that sacrifice is to make everything you "do" holy to the Lord and consecration is to make everything you "have" holy to the Lord. Jesus says, "A man cannot love two masters...He cannot love God and mammon." There comes a point in time in the life of every true seeker for eternal life where he has to choose between the things of this world and heavenly things. The way it came about for me happened back in the 80's. I had gotten into the life insurance and securities business in 1980. When I first got into the business, I loved God more than money, a lot more. That started to change by 1982, my love of money was starting to exceed my love God. The Lord stepped in to rescue me. The investment company I was working for, filed for bankruptcy and I was suddenly out of work and out of money with a wife and 5 kids to feed. I started to fast and pray to find out why. The first thing the Lord showed me was how much my heart had changed. I continued to fast and pray and humble myself and the Lord showed me a vision. In the vision, I was standing between two doorways. I looked through the door on my left and saw a path running through it. On both sides of the path, were treasures and all the things that money can buy. Further along the path I saw seats of power in both the church and in government. I understood that if I chose that path, everything I saw in that room would be mine, and I would be a very rich and powerful man. But then the spirit of God gave me to understand that at the end was the terrestrial kingdom. I looked through the door on my right. The path was obscured by a fog but above the fog was a bright light and I had the understanding that on the other side was the celestial kingdom. I knew I had to make a choice. I could gird up my loins and go to work harder than I had ever done on the path to the left or give up on wealth and power and step into the fog. It was really an easy choice for me. I was not happy making money and it did not make a whole lot of sense to me to bust my butt for years to end up in the terrestrial kingdom. I made the choice to give up on business and gave my whole heart and soul to serving God. I started going to the temple every day and renewed my relationship with Jesus. I had already passed the tests of obedience, sacrifice, the gospel and chastity. The only remaining test was consecration. After nine month of daily temple service and constant prayers, meditation and revelations from God, in November 1983, Jesus came to me in the celestial room of the Logan temple and gave me the promise of the Celestial kingdom and sanctified me and made my calling and election sure.

I agree with what you are saying, but let me take you to a higher level. To begin, let's look at the three natures of man. As humans, we have three natures, animal, human and divine. Let's look at those one at a time. Animal nature is instinct, and yes, as humans we do have instinct. Instinct is, primarily, about survival and the perpetuation of the species, but also involves social dominance and territory. Understanding how human instinct works in human society, we can get clues from observing our nearest animal counterparts, the apes. In an ape society, there is a dominant male that establishes his territory. He eats first and gets first pick of the females and life is all about eating and procreating. It is a fact of life that the majority of people in the world exist at this level. Even in a civilized society there are companies and gangs of people whose social structure is very animalistic, and there is nothing wrong with that, but people who live their lives at this level and never rise above it, will end up in the telestial kingdom. Human nature is our ability to reason. We have the ability to override instinct to do worse or better than the animals. Sexually speaking, in doing worse, there are sins we can commit that animals do not commit. The first is abortion. Next is pedophilia, then homosexuality and then bestiality. Animals do not abort their babies. Animals do not molest their young and except in rare instances, they do not engage in homosexual acts. Animals to do not mate with other species. People have asked me about homosexuality. What is wrong really wrong with it? The first thing that is wrong with all sexual sins is Lust. Jesus only specifically mentioned lusting women as being sin but it is just as much a sin to lust after children or persons of the same sex or of animals as it is to lust after women. Sexual lust is a serious sin and we all have the potential to lust. It took me, at least 15 years after I was born again, of constant praying and self denial for me to overcome the temptation to lust. The second thing that is wrong with homosexuality is how it gets started. 99% of homosexuality is the result of pedophilia. There are two things that happen when a child is abused sexually.. The first is that the brain rewrites itself to compensate for this new programing. The second thing is that the child becomes subject to demon possession. Homosexuality and especially transgenderism are evidences of demon possession. Transgenderism happens when a person is possessed of a spirt opposite to his or her natural gender. True men of God know this and healing these two diseases means to cast the demons out of the person. People have asked me how a Christian should react to a child who comes out as gay. I would suggest they find out who molested the child and take legal action against him and take the child to one having authority to cast out demons. There are also sins against humanity that we have to consider, rape, prostitution and sexual irresponsibility. It is always wrong to force another person to have sex. It is wrong to sell sex and it is wrong to not take responsibility for one's sexual behavior. One of the greatest sins in our society today is promiscuity being promoted by the godless people in the government, dragging people down to the animal level of human existence. Doing better than the animals sexually involves social rules, customs, traditions and even religious rules. Many of those rules involve some kind of marriage, were a couple agrees to be exclusive in having sex to form a family. Things get complicated when religion gets involved. Every religion has it's own set of sexual rules that may or may be from God. Take for example, Catholic rules. The Catholic rules for sex are, 1. Sex is evil. 2. Marriage is God's permission to have sex. 3. in marriage, monogamy is the rule. 4. Celibacy is a higher state than marriage. None of these rules are from God. Sex is not evil. It is good and it does have a godly purpose. God gave us permission to have sex when he gave us the commandment to be fruitful and to multiply. Marriage in the kingdom of God serves a higher purpose than just having sex. There is a time for abstinence, but it was never intended to be a life style. It is good for a man to have a woman and it better when they start having children. Just as an aside, the reason for Catholic rules was not to promote godliness. They are for making money. Priests of the Catholic church make tons of money exploiting human sexual behavior at the confession booths. Have you ever wondered why they have those confession booths? They are for the purpose to hide the priests masturbating while listening to the sordid details of people's sexual confessions. Really. Those who persisted in following terrestrial rules and never rise above that level will end up in the terrestrial kingdom. In the Kingdom of God, the rules are simple. It all depends on what you want forever. Let's say a man only wants to be in the Celestial kingdom but does not want the hassle of having a wife and children. He can do that. The only rule is abstinence until sanctification. If a man just wants one woman forever, there is a place in the celestial kingdom for couples like that. The rules to obtain that place in the celestial kingdom are abstinence until marriage and in marriage, monogamy. Do not steal other men's wives and do not divorce and do not marry widowed, divorced or unclean women. Now, let's say that a man wants to be active in eternal procreation, there is a place in kingdom of heaven for that. The same rules apply for those who want monogamy forever but there is an addition. Abstinence until marriage. In marriage monogamy until sanctification and in sanctification entering into the covenants of exaltation that are administered by Jesus himself. I mentioned earlier that marriage in the kingdom of God serves a higher purpose than just having sex. Women have a problem. A man can be sanctified without having a woman, but a woman cannot be sanctified without a man. I can go into a lengthy explanation why that is so, if you are interested, but for now, I can tell you this, there are no single women in the Celestial kingdom. The main purpose of celestial marriage is for the sanctification of women. The second purpose it to establish a Family of God forever.

I agree with what you are saying, but let me take you to a higher level. There are three reasons why the Law of the gospel is one of the covenants of the temple. The first is that, even though one must be baptized to go to the temple, most people have not repented of their sins and have not been born again. I was baptized at the age of 8, but I was not born again until I was 23. The second reason is because the covenants of the temple are the basis for the trials God puts us through so he can sanctify us. The third reason is, like you mention, there is a lot more to the Gospel then faith, repentance and baptism. The first principles of the law of the gospel are exercising faith in Jesus Christ to repent of you sins. The next principle of the law of the gospel it to love and forgive God and others. The commandments of Jesus in the sermon on the mount are the other principles of the law of gospel. Matthew 5-7. Do not be angry. Do not lust. Do not divorce. Be perfect in love as your father in heaven is perfect in love. Do not swear, Do not do things just to be seen of men. Do not lay up treasures on earth, but lay up treasures in heaven. Keep an eye single to the glory of God. Do not worry, Seek to be sanctified. Do not judge. Do not find fault. Do not give your tithes to false prophets and do not give your wealth to the rich. Ask of God. Seek for what you ask for and when God leads you to the things you ask for, do what you need to do to obtain it. Do good unto others. Enter the strait gate. Jesus is the gate. Walk the narrow way which is the commandments and sayings of Jesus. Beware of false prophets. Look at their fruits and listen to their testimonies to see if they truly testify of Jesus. Build you house on the Rock. Jesus is the rock. The first ordinance of the gospel is baptism. What is baptism all about? Our God is a covenant God. God says, "If you will keep my commandments as contained in the old and new testaments, I the Lord, will bless you and cleanse you, purify you and sanctify you and bring you into my presence. If you do not keep my commandments you will be left to the natural consequences of the broken law." There are four things for making a valid contract. 1. For a contract of be valid, one must read and understand the contract. 2. One must be of legal age. 3. The contract must be administered by a lawful agent. 4. Both parties to the contact must sign the contract. The contract we make is in the Bible and reiterated in the Book of Mormon. So read the contract and understand the commandments and sayings of Jesus. In the LDS, the legal age is eight. Before baptizing their children, the parents should have taught their children, at least the ten commandments, but they should also teach their children the sermon on the mount. The next ordinances of the gospel are receiving priesthood. Having priesthood makes one a lawful agent of God to administer baptism and laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Baptism and the laying on of hand are signatures to sign the contract to keep the commandments and sayings of Jesus. Having a valid contact with God makes one a citizen in the kingdom of God.

I agree with everything you are saying, but let me take you to a higher level. The law of sacrifice is based on the law of faith. Faith has three elements, thinking, feeling (emotion), and doing. Faith is the process by which we set and reach goals. Faith is not a perfect knowledge, but it is the process by which we obtain a perfect knowledge. I like Alma's comparison of faith to planting a seed. The seed is hope in the harvest. The seed is not a perfect knowledge. The harvest is perfect knowledge. We exercise faith but setting goals and formulating plans to reach our goals. That is the thinking part of faith. There are many emotions we can choose from to motivate ourselves to reach our goals, which I will tell about in a minute. The accomplishment of goals requires action, putting our plans into action to obtain the goal. Faith without action is dead. Now, there are 4 types of faith. The first type of faith, I call common faith. It is the type of faith we use every day. We have a daily goal to make a living and motivated by hope or hunger, we get up in the morning and go to work. A farmer has hope in a harvest and plants his seeds. We get hungry in the day and set a goal to get something to eat and plan on how we will do that and do what we need to do to get food. Positive goals with positive emotions result in action that leads to positive consequences. A second type of faith is negative faith. This is where, instead of positive goals and positive emotions we set negative goals, like stealing or killing and starting wars. The emotions we employ are lust, greed and anger. Th third type of faith is anti faith. Anti faith is motivated by fear and worry. When we are afraid or worried, without knowing it, we do things to bring about the things we are afraid of or worry about. Negative emotions causes negative forces to work against us. Bring afraid of something causes us to experience what we fear. For example, a woman who fears being raped is much more likely to be raped than a woman who is not afraid. People who worry about not having enough, never have enough. People fear death and people die. Faith and fear are opposites. We will obtain in life what we have faith in or what we fear the most. The fourth type of faith is divine faith or sacrifice. The preface sacra means holy and ficir is Latin meaning to be done. Divine faith or sacrifice is when you set heavenly goals and combine those goals with the divine emotions of faith, hope and Love and put into practice what needs to be done to obtain those goals. Simply stated, the covenant of sacrifice should be that you will set goals with an eye single to the glory of God and do everything that you do, holy to the Lord. Just going through the motions of religion does not make one holy. What makes a man holy is why he does it. To quote from Napoleon Hill, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, he will achieve." This works just as well for spiritual goals as for temporal goal. I was born with the goal of having eternal life. I passed up opportunities to get rich and be successful in order to stay on course to be sanctified, and it paid off. People my age, (I am 74) who worked and got rich and powerful are all dying and when they die, all is left behind. I sought for eternal life and God sanctified me and has given me the promise to be alive when he come again. I am not rich in the things of the world but I am strong spiritually. Everyday, I heal the sick, cast out demons and I have raised the dead and walked on water. I survived a 40 day fast and I was run over by a 45 ton Mack dump truck, but the wheels did not touch my body. Jesus lives. the way to eternal life is the same for everybody. It is worth it to do all you do, holy to the Lord.

I agree with what you are saying, but I would like to take you to a higher level. To understand obedience we have to first look at the Immutable laws of the universe and answer the question; What is the justice of God? The justice of God is based on the immutable laws of the universe. There are 4 characteristics of Eternal law. 1. Eternal laws are forever the same and unchangeable. It does not matter where you go in time or space, they are forever the same. They were neither created nor made and therefore cannot be uncreated or unmade or annulled 2. Eternal laws have specific effects that are also forever the same and unchangeable and those effects have certain consequences, positive and negative which are also the same and unchangeable. 3. The laws are immediately self enforcing. 4. The laws have no respect for persons. Everybody is equal under the law. The law is without feeling and it does not matter how much you know, or what you have or anything else about you. The positive and negative consequences of the law are the same for you as for everybody else. Eternal laws govern both physical things and spiritual things, so demonstrate how these characteristics work, I like to use the law of fire. 1. The law of fire is that heat, fuel and oxygen in sufficient quantities creates fire. The law is forever the same and unchangeable and it does not matter where you go in time or space, you can trust that fire will always work the same. 2. The effect of fire is that it gives off energy in the form of heat and light. The heat and light of fire can affect us either positively or negatively. Positively speaking, we use fire to warm ourselves, to cook our food, to give energy to our cars. We use fire to mold metal and power our industry. Fire is also a life force. We eat food for fuel. We breathe air for oxygen and with spark for the spirit, fuel and oxygen combine in our cells and they become internal combustion engines that give us energy to live. We can use fire to light candles so we can see in the dark. On the negative side, fire can burn us and kill us and if we stop eating or breathing too long or if we get too cold, we die. We can be blinded by intense flame. 3. The law of fire is self enforcing. Everybody that enters a heated building will benefit by the warmth. We are all equally benefited by eating and drinking and staying warm. We can all enjoy having light in dark spaces. On the other hand, everyone who puts his finger in the fire is immediately burned. Everybody who looks into an intense flame will be blinded. 4, The law of fire is the same for everybody. It is does not matter if you re rich or poor, bond or free or ignorant or educated, old or young, etc. the law treats everybody the same, The consequences of the law cannot be denied and there is no excuse to take away the injury or pain for going against the law. Everybody is equal under the law. There is no respect for persons or circumstances. This is the justice of God. Now, let's look at commandments. There are two kinds of commandments. One kind of commandment is the type used by dictators. This is where a man will invent laws to control and manipulate people to do his will, and threaten them with punishment for non compliance. The other kind of commandment is a tool of the law to give instruction on how to live the laws. For example, if I am going to teach someone to build a fire I will use commandments to get the fire wood, get some kindling, get a match and light it. God uses commandments to teach us how to keep the invisible laws of the universe so that we can obtain the benefits of the law and obtain eternal life. This is the true law of obedience. It is to find out what the spiritual laws of the universe are and to put them into practice by following God's instruction that we may have blessings and ultimately eternal life. Let's look at the law of love. We connect to the people and things that we love the most and we receive in return whatever benefits the persons or things have to offer. The greatest benefit for loving comes from loving God. If one will love God with all his heart, soul and mind, he will receive a continuous flow of love from God that will grow into Eternal life. So how do we love God? The first four of the ten commandments teach us how to love God. God said: You shall have no other gods. You shall not make statues. You shall not not use God's name in vain. You shall set aside one day a week to have relationship with God. Loving your neighbor begins with honoring your parents. Then, you shall not shed innocent blood. If you are male, you shall not steal other men's wives. if you are a married women, you shall not give yourself to another man. You shall not take that which is not lawfully yours and you shall not steal from God. You shall not bear false witness and you shall not lust after the things that belong to others.

So the Almighty God needs you to speak certain words and give certain signs to make sure you are who You are.. Got it! He’s not that powerful then is he! He really doesn’t know what he claims then.. the mental gymnastics of this church are unbelievable!!!

I miss the step by step ritual that added a lot of symbolic meaning. This shorter version skipped a quarter of it and left me wondering where it went. Don't get me wrong. The essentials are still present. It just felt rushed as if watching a movie with quick cut editing. Because of Covid it is also removes the personal interactivity until the end. Hopefully there will be some future improvements. I prefer the older way, although the movie is less awkward.

This was very interesting. I am trying to learn more about Mormonism in order to better understand my aunty who recently joined. I see a lot of similarities between the Mormons and my tribe.

Jasmin, great explanation, but not sure it is worth it because of the opposition! It is so painful and sorrowful to read the comments of non believers who mock sacred things!
