The tps doesn't control the power jet solenoid in any way. The ecu triggers it and it is rpm based. Solenoid closes off the power jet at 8500 rpm.

If it’s rich and not lean like this, feel like you hit a rev limiter and not a power band ? or if pops on deceleration and shoots flames, and exhaust dumb hot - yea cuz combustion is occurring in the pipe need to have more AIR to lean it out, move needle down /put the clip up & Change the main jet for full throttle Pillot jet is for 1/8-1/4 throttle Needle is for 1/4 - 1/2 throttle If you went up or down too and it gets better till the end- get a new red or blue needle and begin clip in middle. Also check the exhaust and intake cam valve shims.

Hey Chuck. What do you think of just running mixed gas in both the oil tank and the gas tank. like 50:1 or 60:1 or something. Do you think the oil injectors would get clogged??
@ChuckfromTrueTech5 күн бұрын
Haven’t considered that but running fuel in the oil tank would make the bike run slightly rich. The oil pump goes richer & leaner based on different inputs than the fuel injectors. The oil tank only holds 500mls. Why would you want that?
@EricNeilson_3 күн бұрын
@@ChuckfromTrueTech the reason would be that you wouldn't have to worry about the oil tank because you'd be running mixed gas. Apparently the injectors spritz on a cycle that would starve the crank if you do this. Just a thought experiment mostly.
@ChuckfromTrueTech2 күн бұрын
@@EricNeilson_ Putting fuel in the oil tank would throw off your air/fuel mixture slightly. I don't know if it would be enough to notice, but it definitely wouldn't be enough to significantly lubricate the bottom end.

you're still doing it the harder way... get a Valve stem remover (steel one from a slime tire patch kit) and you can install/remove the clips so much faster and easier.

I didn't read the suspension bible, but this is how I think it should go: 1. Ensure proper spring rate, so the sag is set correctly. 2. Leave rebound on the fast side so the bike rebounds fast. Deal with the compression (using a zip tie, or an oring to make sure you're using all available suspension travel w/o bottoming). 3. With the compression sorted out, dial in the rebound until is firm but not kicking. This is the hardest step indeed. If rebound is too slow it feels like the bike is falling int the dips in the ground, because the wheel can't come down quick enough so the whole bike "falls" back to the ground. 4. If the clickers can't achieve the desired setup, change oil grade, and/or valving. This is where experience is most needed, to know what works and what not.

Truthfully, I do not care where a product is made if it is made properly. I rode a CF Moto bike recently (the 450 NK to be precise) and it was surprisingly a great experience. I have been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, raced MX amateurly, have owned super sport, classic British, and American cruisers; that said, I have also played around with Chinese manufactured dirt machines with my sons and grandkids most of which are knockoffs of Japanese and European designs but the good ones all had one thing in common Zongshen engines. I am wanting a 450 rally pro not for anything other than an all season go anywhere economical commuter I trust the engine and if the build quality is what everyone claims which it must be to have 3 production bikes finish all stages of the Dakkar Ralley I am sold. Can you affix panniers and a top box?

If the bearing turned blue it’s overheated.

It didnt go blue like the bearing ive just purposely overheated, my concern is because as i rotate the crankshaft, holding the case i can can hear almost a train wheel sounding affect along with feeling holding the case, first time doing this so i am abit clueless, im probably gonna just run it and if all fails learn from my mistakes, costly tho 😅 thanks for the quick reply , and also the video helped alot thanks

Well i pushed the crank back out, I did overheat the bearing and warp it slightly not that i got it blue buttt a golden colour on one side of the inner and now has a notchy feeling on that bearing causing that feeling i was one about, as the bearing in the other case is smooth like butter, just purchased a laser heat gun temp guage lol, once again thankyou for the video

@@ChuckfromTrueTech I wonder why they don't use Nikasil. It has low friction characteristics. Surely, it would help reduce heat and make the part last longer, especially in cases like this or during startup when oil pressure is lower

@@markilleen4027 just a cost thing. Lots of OHC car engines are like this too. Toyota used plain bearings for cam journals on a few models, which IMO would be preferable to Nikasil as it's more easily serviceable.

I was considering Evans for a Jag XF or XJ, both of which suffer from coolant pipe cracks leading to overheating. My theory is that less pressure = longer lifespan of components. But I mostly see people using Evans on older / classic engines, is it well suited for modern engines with tighter tolerances?

They are handy when the bike is low, and you can't get any leverage on the normal grab pt. In a deep rut, off the side of a hill, stuck between some nasty roots, in some deep mud, etc Also comes in handy when trying to turn your bike around on a failed hill climb.
