I have been distracted from youtube for awhile but clicked on this video and I can see Braylee has improved so much and she keeps improving with her speech and even learned a new sentence of your national anthem as you were telling us viewers! Braylee's limits are endless and she is such a beautiful smart young girl. I have to go and like some of your videos that I have missed and watch those. I always hit the like button right away when I watch your videos because they are always so great! God Bless😇

I'm from Mobile Alabama and I am currently living here. I did have the opportunity to live in Granite Falls Minnesota a few years ago for about 6 months. Boy is it cold up there. I never thought I would be happy to be back in the heat and humidity again as much as when I left Minnesota. Pretty place though and lots of nice people. The cold is just too much for this Gulf Coast girl.

I always have my iPad, headphone, camera, therapy putty, my bag that has all my extra sweaters, clothes, ear defenders and flare ear plugs. I also sometimes have my support blanket or something to help me on hard days.

We aren’t perfect, but always learning. We realized that we can’t expect anyone to accept Braylee if we aren’t accepting of others as well.

She used to be terrified of elevators and escalators! They caused her so much anxiety. Now she is a pro and doesn’t mind them! She’s impressed us so much with that.

@@TheWeeFamily I'm hoping to bring him home by Wednesday. The hard part is getting copies of bank statements. Its so hard being poor and no insurance. Although, he has a bank account, we are product tester and take surveys on line, he has to have a bank account. He has to have a life vest before he can leave. I think getting married would be so much easier!!

That's so awesome u guys had a date night/time for yourselves. U definitely need to make a little time for yourselves. I used to get that when my daughter was a baby/young toddler. My mom used to take her a couple times a week for a couple hours n even overnight once every week or two but now it's once a week in Sundays for a couple hours because her health is not always the best. I need to look into respite but I've always been apprehensive about leaving her with someone I don't know really well or isn't family n if they'll be able to handle her or keep a really good eye on her. Isn't it so cool when u catch them using imaginative play? I got so stoked when my daughter started actually playing with dolls/figures as opposed to just lining them up n she actually had them conversing back n forth. Seems so small but a huge deal for me.

I for sure would've come to the autism walk/fair if I was in or near minnesota. I wish I could find something like that near where I live in MD. The story board thing was really cool. So cool how B went up to the Star wars guys(sorry, don't know much about star wars besides Hans Solo, chewbacca, Darth Vader n princess Leia) n touching n engaging them. I think it was Hans Solo.

It was so interesting watching Braleey playing with the buckles it reminds me of my daughter she plays repeatedly with beads .she has to play with them every day after school and will, only play with them at home or my moms but doesn't like to do it in front of other people. I think it's her way of processing the day she repeats everything she heard said and done all day. It's quite amazing really. Thank you once again for sharing your story 💞💞💞🦋🦋🦋

Not sure if it’s anything like Braylee, but she really likes activities like this that she can repeat but have a start and end point to her. That is amazing! Buckling is one of her goals at therapy but now she does it in free time by her own choice.

I like puzzle toys. Complicated ones. I solved a new very hard one while I was on call to my sisters. I also play minesweeper and Tetris when I'm watching videos or movies as I can't sit still. Haha. Not diagnosed with autism though but it's very possible that I have it, I need to speak to my counsellor about it.

My granddaughter Sophie is 6 and she has autism and was non verbal until she was about 4 almost 5 now she is talking all the time I call it Sophie language she is getting better and better. I love watching B she reminds me so much of Sophie they would be such good buddies. Sophie also went through a velveeta stage where that was all she would eat she is a starch girl french fries noodles chips (her favorite) recently she tried bacon and sausage links and she is a fan lol. If you guys ever come to Iowa please do a meet and greet I would love to meet you all and have you meet Sophie.

Sophie sounds wonderful! Braylee is 7 but we still have hope that she will get there. She is determined and works very hard on her speech. Braylee loves carbs, dairy and fruit but still has things in those food groups that she won’t eat. That’s awesome that she liked sausage and bacon 👍🏻

I have a tangle that I keep in my bag and a smooth shiny smooth rock that I bring with me as my go to to go fidgets but the Rubicks cube is a good idea I might try that. Also, show us your moves Stacey lol😝

David I can watch over you, Stacey that sounds creepy! Stacey don't watch Shane Dawson's last conspiracy theory video you will be even more creeped out about staying in hotel rooms 😊 other than ear defenders we don't really have to bring much with us unless it's doctors visits then we have to bring some toys for distraction! I love listening to her sing as does bump as he/she is kicking like crazy as she sings 😊💜

I don’t think I’ll be watching them. Hotel rooms weird me out a bit in general but sometimes it’s necessary. We usually don’t bring so much stuff, it’s just because it was a longer drive and overnight so we needed things to occupy her. 🙂 How cute!

She is technically still nonverbal (preverbal). Most of her words are prompted/repeated and not many spontaneous.

She doesn't like being talked about, its like making fun of her. I'm glad she's trying to talk. Even if she messes up the words, she is getting the cadence. She's a lovely child.

Is there a specific reason you use a stroller for !!!

It does help prevent eloping (but she can and does unbuckle frequently) , but the main reason we use a stroller is BC that she has hypotonia in her core/legs so she gets worn out and tired with a lot of walking and will continually try to be held which has gotten harder to do as she’s getting bigger.
