Do you have to first determine if it is a center start or an outside start

It makes the sound to go out the horn and directed towards you.

The rod that holds the stylus in place? How is the silk coming off the diaphragm to the needle bar?

@@newambassador376 it looks like your reproducer is swollen around the tonearm which is why it will not pivot. It also looks like on the diamond disc side, the silk is broken and is not connected. You are going to have to remove the reproducer from the tonearm. Then clean out the inside of the reproducer where are the tonearm fits in and if necessary, gently sand down a little bit of the tonearm and a little bit of the reproducer until you have a snug fit.

No. You will destroy your records.

What record are you wanting to play? It can be slowed as slow as you want but most records play about 78-80 rpm
