Quick Tip for those planning to do this job invest in some "S" shaped ratcheting wrenches from Gearwrench they get in there nicely for those top mount bolts without removing the wipers etc plus they definitely come in handy down the road if u need to get in some tight spaces on future repairs or work

Do you think its possible to remove the top 3 bolts on the struts without removing the wipers and the cowl piece?? Also do you have to torque the top 3 nuts or just as hand tight as you can get them ?

You can but its a pain. And bolts i just tighten them from memory. You can find the torque specs online.

Nice video BUT. I will go with Autozone struts because they come with lifetime warranty. They are $153 a piece which is higher than what you paid for. Scotty clearly said not to buy cheap strut assemblies.

Lol. KYB and Bilstein are pretty much top brands for shocks. Autozone and other parts stores are knock offs replacement parts and ride quality is not even close. But hey it's up to you what you want on your car. Kyb shocks all come with lifetime warranty. Same as bilstein.

@@henrykim4230 swap them every 20k miles with auto zone ones. put kyb ones in, and replace them every 7 years instead.

the shop says it's a 4 to 5 hour job for the quick struts in for the fronts on a 2012 Tc, if so why do they call then quick struts if it takes that long?

they're called quick struts because it eliminates the need to compress the spring and dismount the rest of the strut assembly hence the name lol.
