In depth review of the 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 XRx. All you wanted to know and more. Smooth, Turns on a Dime, Plenty of Power, Nice Motorcycle.
Sept. 27, 2016: Ok, so Now I have 1245 miles on the Tiger. I was out in the wheat fields of eastern Washington the other day and rode 86 miles of gravel roads. Most eastern Washington Wheat field gravel roads are pretty nice roads, but still they are gravel. I found myself cruising on them anywhere from 15 mph to 65 mph. I haven't had that much sustained fun in years. I used the off road traction control and was conservative in my riding but still was able to gas and go on the straight stretches. It was a blast. I enjoyed the 19 inch and much wider front tire (compared to the xc models) on the gravel. I had to ride 38 miles of freeway/back paved roads to get to my off road beginning destination. On the paved roads I used the cruise control which was really nice. I set it at 72 mph and the bike was totally smooth. I really enjoyed the pavement riding also. The ergonomics of the bike is a perfect fit for me. This is what I have wanted for years. A motorcycle you can ride comfortably at freeway speeds and go off road in a second. The 3 cylinder engine is really smooth and the exhaust is extremely quite, which I really like.
