I much more prefer these types of reviews then those slideshows with text that have been being put up lately.

I just bought a 2017 LT with 8600 miles for 24k ...a great deal and I love the range.

Great review. The Bolt is a blast to drive and so cheap to run...a fantastic car.
@TwoHawksHunting6 жыл бұрын
I'll have to admit it looks good in white.
@theden0minat0r7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for actually stating what this car really costs. :D The Chevy Bolt actually costs $37,495 - $42,760. It's great to see that clearly stated in this video. Keep up your great work.

Electric car makers should make a 3rd or Secondary Battery Power Bank, where the Torque (spinning of the wheel) charge this battery bank for emergency uses or for onboard electronic uses. And the Windshields should be compose of solar-panel material to also help with this battery bank.

Hoping that my Premier model arrives this week. A long wait.. I ordered it back in December 2016! Chevrolet doesn't make it easy to buy the Bolt EV.
@cocoboers21437 жыл бұрын
Oh man, congratulations! Now how did you order it? Are you financing or leasing? Was there a reservation fee or DP? Is it coming directly to you, or to your dealership?
@suzilindblad52075 жыл бұрын
I had to wait for mine as well, but not too long. I guess the old saying "Good things happen for those who wait" is true, cuz I absolutely love this car!!!

Does the $7,500.00 tax credit come off MSRP @ time you buy from Dealer ~or do you get to write off $7,500.00 from declared total earned @ end of year on Fed. tax form?

Great review!! wish i could have it for longer time when i test drove it!

@vegasbab.y37406 жыл бұрын
TheRocketMan8888 well I think we’re not going to need it in 10 to 13 or 20 years cause people rarely keep their old cars nowadays

Question...When you use the "L" driving mode, do the brake lights come on when you put less pressure on the accelerator pedal? Great review btw. I love my Bolt!
@hybridcarscom7 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes, the brake lights come on. They must. L mode with foot off the accelerator will haul the car down to a complete stop.

I test drove one two weeks ago and the seats were too small for my 6'4" 240lb frame. For comparison sake, I fit in the Volt just fine with room to spare.

@Steve WilcoxThe charging cord that comes with the car is supposed to charge from any old out let. I would check into this.

I would have considered the Bolt if it did have all wheel drive. Living in the NE that feature would have helped.

i wish it was 30k without the rebate. Not everyone gets the full federal rebate.
@narphizoid6 жыл бұрын
"Sold in all 50 states" is a great line, but not a fact: Perhaps "available for dealers to sell if they so choose" would be more accurate. Just try to find a Bolt - or a Volt, for that matter - in Mississippi...

Are there really people who think a house, new or used can be bought for $43k? Please show me where! Anyway. I like the review information but the constant harping on plastic interior is dumb for any car that's not a luxury make. This is a Chevrolet.
@ramblinman71536 жыл бұрын
Iris Gross a home for under 43k? Try North Dakota.
@suzilindblad52075 жыл бұрын
I don't understand it either, i think the interior looks great!

leaf 2.0 might be a sleeper. with the hard plastic and bad reviews of the seats,I think the leaf 2.0 might out sell this. Tesla model 3 might be more expensive and long waiting list.

I went to my Chevy dealer hoping to jump on one of these...I just could not do it. At some angles it looks kinda good but at other angles this thing is just dorky. The deal killer was once I sat in it, it's narrow, has a very awkward windshield projection and just has a very cheesy plastic feel. I don't think I can live with it. I can't help but resent how many manufacturers seem to deliberately make UGLY cars...like the Nissan Leaf, BMW i3 and other cars that took too many whacks from the fugly stick. Drop this technology into a Honda HRV and you got a winner...but no, dork-city 24/7. Guess we'll have to wait and see what comes along from other makes. The Tesla is sharp but I want/need a crossover SUV
@BikeSwimLaugh7 жыл бұрын
Too large, too fancy, too elegant. I own a ranch that I commute to..I need a vehicle that I can carry vegetables, chicken food, goat food..something I can take relatively good care of but not overly worry about. A Tesla X is on par with a top of the line Mercedes...I just can't bring myself to do that to an X
@vegasbab.y37406 жыл бұрын
BikeSwimLaugh I would just prefer the Volt

There should be no batteries where engine supposed to be. Tesla cars doesn't have any batteries in front instead it has two trunks.
@ClayMcDonald7 жыл бұрын
There are no batteries under the hood, only the motor. Tesla integrated the Model S motor to be at each axle. Bolt just has a more traditional power train layout.
@seanz65867 жыл бұрын
Clay McDonald which is ridiculous. Why make an EV with the disadvantages of an ICE? Once again, Tesla did it right.
@ClayMcDonald7 жыл бұрын
SO O I'm sure it was just to keep cost down. Tesla has the process streamlined, so it's probably cheaper for them.
@darkpill7 жыл бұрын
Joseph Dan That's not the battery, it's the drive train. GM is using a cheaper / less advanced battery than Tesla and so more room is needed for the batteries which pushed the drive train up into the engine compartment. Just basically a half ass job to beat Tesla to market by 1 year.

When will car companies build full size electric cars. Enough with the tuna can cars
@ramblinman71536 жыл бұрын
Casey C it's about efficiency too. The heavier the vehicle the less the range.
@signedup24627 жыл бұрын
Sorry. I can buy a house for $43K and create an investment that provides passive income. vs making a more risky outlay of money in an introductory offering of an EV. I barely applaud GM for their re-introduced EV. I simply need it as a commuter/errand vehicle. Sounds like the finishes on the Bolt is in-line with that, however, the price tag is severely off. GM was way ahead of EVERYONE with their 90's EV. Then they had On-Star. Bad leadership making decisions. GM could've taken the lion's share of the EV market and had a huge positive impact on the world, the planet decades ago. GM's has had high dollar luxury vehicles for decades. It's the growth model which Tesla has been reported to use to start their mass market EV. Bad leadership making decisions.

The SIMPLEST QUESTION that no one seems to be able to answer about electric cars.. READY? HERE IT IS.... If I can buy 1 gallons of gas for $3.25 and it makes my car travel 22-25 miles..... HOW MUCH ELECTRICITY $$$$___________ DO I HAVE TO BUY TO TRAVEL THAT SAME 22-25 MILES ???????????? REAL SIMPLE QUESTION Don't tell me electricity rate vary.. I KNOW THAT.... gasoline prices VARY ALSO. Im looking for ONE NUMBER... is it "85 cents" is it "$1.25" "$2.50" ????? PLEASE DO NOT REFER ME TO A US GOVERNMENT WEBSITE, that has over 100 pages of krapola. UNTIL car makers can put that SIMPLE STATEMENT on the sticker of these cars... NO ONE CARES....
@cmscms1234565 жыл бұрын
don't give me calculations in 'parsecs', volts, amps, kilometers.. DONT BE STUPID
@hisownfool15 жыл бұрын
@@cmscms123456 Assuming electricity costs 12 cents a kWh and the Bolt's battery is a 60 kWh battery, it should cost $7.20 to fully charge. Since its range is 238 miles, and the mileage you are stating is about 10 percent of that, then it would cost about 72 cents to cover that distance. It could be less if you charge it during the off-peak hours.
@peterdaniel667 жыл бұрын
Sit WAY WAY WAY too high... No overhead grab handles... and a cheap interior and seats that are insanely narrow which pissed me off to no end.. If the rest of the car is so well thought out, how could they have screwed up the comfort so badly??
@mosfet5007 жыл бұрын
I think sitting high is a plus. Seats not a problem for us. Car really runs great - zero problems, squeaks or rattles. Superb technology.
@darkpill7 жыл бұрын
peterdaniel66 you sit high because the battery is stacked. They are trying to make it look like a "feature" but they had no choice because they are using cheap batteries made by LG
@smarzig6 жыл бұрын
I cant see the stop lights. For the seats I had to buy a pad..
