The first rc that I bought without knowing what I was actually buying. Fell in love with it but never bashed it, just running it around a large parking lot. Eventually I installed two mini savox servos. I still have it and run it every once in a while. Then I discovered crawling rc and became obsessed with that area of rc.

Good to see you back at RC! The mini erevo was the first RC I bought myself to see if I wanted to get back into it from childhood. It was game over! Of course the mini needs RPM arms and shim the diffs. Then its solid. After the mini came the Redcat Rampage MT. That truck led me to your channel years ago. Now have six of the big boy 1/5 scales. Think I am taking my mini out tomorrow for the first time in years to the BMX track. Should be fun. Hope to see yours in action brother🤘👊

Funny, I did the same thing, building big cars last few years. Just bought this car today. I’ve had a few in the past. Bought a vxl for me and a brushed for my friends son’s bday Saturday. Great cars!!!

Thank you for making this video, I have been kicking the thought of an e Revo around for a while... I own an Axial Yeti 1/10 which is really more like an 1/8th scale due to its size, and I own an Axial SCX10. So I have a crawler and a faster crawler. I was tossing the ball back and fourth between the rustler and the e Revo and this helped me make my mind up. I'm looking for something speedy, Lipo capable, and not too too much stuff to break... look up the axial yeti if you don't have one. there is ALOT to break. The e Revo looks so much more simplified and i'm very excited. Plus, I wanted that color body and it looks totally SICK!

1/16 erevo vxl is one of my favorite cars. My 2.0 is built and is my favorite car. All cars have there weak points that need modifications. The Mojave is pretty solid out of the box as long as you locktite the wheel nuts. Anyway, great video!

This is the only traxxas truck I have and only actual rc truck I have but I’ve had it for a couple years and love it I’ve only had to fix the a arms once bc I wasn’t paying attention and slammed into a car tire but it’s so much fun. And I just wired up a lipo battery and I still haven’t done the max speed yet

Nice Video! Looking forward for the upcoming Videos and Tests on that little Monster! ;-) My 7 yo son just got a Absima / Xinlehong 1:16 Spirit for Easter... I thought it would be a good Model to start with, it actually is his first "real" RC Car ever. But on the first day he already got used to it so good, that he put the throttle trim on full and still can handle it very good! I´m afraid it won't take long until he wants more, so I already took an eye on this nice 1:16 e-revo. Already subscribed to your Channel, so I can gather some information on that in the future... ;-) Greetings from Germany!

Shim the rear diff and get a sw250mg savox servo and your good to go

Man I just bought one of these and some 2s lipo battery, question is should I run a motor and esc fans on it. If so what fans do you guys recommend, I've been looking for some ,but not finding anything that has any good reviews some problem is just the tight space. Thanks for any help

As of now. I put the high-speed pinion gear on it and rented a few times over a month pinion broke. So decided to replace the engine mount with hot racing parts all the parts was wrong I had to physically cut out the engine mount brace armor put permanent thread lock on all the screws even the plastic parts

Have Traxxas ever redesigned the rear bulkhead? It was pretty awful back in 2011.

For performance, you should add a center diff (Traxxas #7014) and sway bars (Hot Racing #HRAVXS311X01). Also use LiPos, or run two Nimhs in parallel (for longer runtime) or series (more voltage=power).

Electric rc are new to me I think it might have been the ESC for the LiPo battery or the snow got into some things

Is a nice car, i have one 1/16 E Revo but if you mant make it tough, you need to make some upgrates: RPM A arms, metal drive shaft, iron metal diferencials, strong spring suspensión, and it's mean extra $$$$ but if you like 1/16 E Revo ok do it. This morning i instaled a 3650 5900 kv, Is a Lot of power but i have to be carefull, Is a beast now ☺️

I don't know, how you drive, but I having the Revo 3,3 1/10 and E-revo Brushless 1/10,never had any problem with the transmission and gears, both are around 8 years old

Yep, I have the mini slash as well, that vxl is crazy! I run it with duel 2s in series. My only gripe with the truck is it flips over way to easy, so I converted it to a merv for about $50 from eBay! I went with the vxl motor ESC cause it can run 4s. You can get a similar motor ESC combo for less than half as much

Hi my son has the traxxas summit 1/16 scale I got him tge series contors so he can get more speed but its not working the car won't drive it will only turn left and right I won't go forward or backwards any idea

complete new to the rc stuff but what would make me get this over the brushed variant? its a 100$ difference and I would find it hard to believe that the brushless motor is 100$. does it have a better chassis or something?

It could be for any age really considering you can lower the power in training mode and using the included NIMH battery or go full power mode and run 3s lipo.

No, you need to gear it down and shim your diffs. Not sure what gear ratio but at least 2 lower on the pinion. also loosen the clutch a bit to protect your diffs. After I shimmed them they are much more durable.

I prefer Traxxas crawlers to everything else. I've tried the others and Traxxas is better designed and built out of the box. I hate that the SCX10 III servos crap out almost instantly, the transmission has an annoying clicking, and the 2 speed (1.5x) is not as good as the Traxxas 2 speed (2x). Locking diffs> dig function. I've never broken anything on my TRX4 or TRX6.
