I completely agree. There is so many interesting things that could be added to a Wild West setting. The worst part is that there are so many cool things in Story mode that don’t exist in online.

There should be something like the “Heists” update from GTA online in RDO, something like “Banks of the West” that would allow you to rob eac bank from each town... Or a train heist, that would be awesome!

Im disappointed in RDRO in general, since I started playing it when I bought the game, and its because they have followed the same business model as GTAO, make everything really expensive, give repetitive and low paying things to do. I dont mind a bit of a grind but if its just doing the same thing every time its boring. I have about 700 hours put into the game and about 660 of those hours are in single player

The naturalist role was just a giant inconvenience, having legendary animals is cool, but travelling all the way to Harriet, just to be sprayed because R* made the animals fucking stupid and easy to trample was just too much. The roles need an entire revamp. Naturalists should be able to tranq animals, and imagine that if you revive that animal, that animal will stick with you, if it's a dog, it'll help you sniff out collectibles, if it's a cougar, it'll help you hunt, sheep, deer and other animals in that category could be used as purely cosmetics, to flex on your friends with, imagine having a pet in this game. Bounty hunters need to have their own system, a whole new bounty board, one where you can see players, and their bounties, players can enable or disable this (like the online invasion in Watch_Dogs games) Trader Role, imagine a Rancher Role augment to this role type. Hear me out. You buy a farmhouse (like Hanging Dog Ranch) or that ranch you worked at as John Marston. This will take care of the property lust we have, and I think it's a fantastic way to get immersed. You wake up in the morning, feed your chickens (that you have to buy like your other live-stock you can get) Your friends can pitch in and help take care of your cattle, feed your chickens, fend off cattle thieves, at night your animals would rest, depending on your upgrades their rest will be better and production of produce would improve, some nights (I'd hope more than most because PVE in this game can be so cool, I need more of it) you and your friends would sit in your farm house, eating down on a home-baked meal, and you'll be interrupted by the sound of 4 guys at your door requesting to seize your cattle, you can attempt to fight them, or you can let them go. Imagine a lawman role, imagine having to go to a nearby town to contact a sherrif to start an investigation, you then pay to get someone to do it for you and recover 100% of your cattle guaranteed, or you can do it yourself and risk losing a small amount. I really don't have any ideas for the collector role, or the moonshiner role, but I'm sure you guys have. I'd love to get more immersed in this game, and I think the whole idea of starting a Rancher Role could be a great way to include everything we want. More encounters, Property, a new fresh role that we can actually invest time in. I don't know let me know what you guys and gals think.

To be honest im pretty sure rdr2 loss more players than gain players. Hope 2021 is a better year for rdr 2

You know that the game is failing as of right now, when the most fun thing in the game currently is the pike basin Bridge glitch

I think the reason that they update gta v online more is because it makes rockstar more money but that’s no excuse not to update a game with such great potential.

We went from getting 3 roles at a time to getting half a role at a time

Greedstar fixed animal spawns, (only took them a year) called it a role and charged players 25 gold for it

technically saying that rockstar neglected red dead online because of GTA online is untrue, because gta online is a different rockstar branch to red dead online. GTA online is rockstar north, whereas red dead online is rockstar studios, meaning that red dead online was just neglected for no reason. there was no bias towards GTA online involved

It's hard to top Moonshiner. Love it or hate it, the new storyline that came with it was amazing, and having your own underground bar is awesome. Nobody gives a shit about a camp.

When I heard the daily challenges were nerfed, I lost all hope in rockstar. I have not played red dead in months because there was just nothing for me to come back to.

I can't believe that Red dead Redemption 2 will not get optimized for the next generation consoles.

2021 was even worse and 2022 is going just as bad

I started playing this game about a year ago, according to my trophies, and I remember reaching level 16 online and not playing for a year. I come back and things are better, I'm around level 58, and got most of the roles. But with that, I think they could be adding more relevant updates like you mentioned, free mode heists etc.

If you look at it from the perspective of R* it makes more sense. Gta Online has more players and makes them more money, so they spent more money/time on updating it. This means even more players leave rdr2 which makes this effect even worse again. The daily streak update doesn't make sense though, cause they're ruining it even more. It sucks but there isn't that much we can do about it.

I'm just upset that they said, themselves, 2020 was the year they were gonna focus on Red Dead and we didn't.get much... makes me sad man.

I agree with everything u said. The fact that ever since 2019 we haven’t had a “memorable” update is so upsetting as this game has so much potential and has an incredible world to expand on and the community is amazing we’ve had to deal with all of this. But Red Dead Online is neglected due to GTA Online and we need more updates to keep the game fresh. We need heists, outlaw role, ranches/farms, more properties etc. Players have been asking for this stuff as they want the game to improve but due to Rockstar’s poor communication it’s difficult to love the game at times with the choices they’ve made. I just want it to do well and be the incredible online experience I know it can be
