The 3 most important things to success I learned in my career as a Green Beret.
1. Never Quit
2. Your Circle of Influence
3. Find Purpose
I am no life hack guru, but if you can do the 3 keys I talk about in this video, you can conquer anything in life.

Just turned 30 just a regular old blue collar guy I am in the best shape of my life and am going 18x these videos are a huge help especially about having the right attitude, I can ruck , run, and do calisthenics all day but being genuinely a good guy is important for a team

Thank you for the information. I am going to be 30 next month and I am strongly considering this path. I have been in the infantry in the national guard for 7 years and it has only made me hungry for more. The only obstacle is trying to make that transition to active because I have 2 years left on my contract. I appreciate the mentorship even if it is through KZfaq. (The wind in the video wasn't that bad)

I'm a bit old for SF (first excuse) but I could get down to the Pension Office a bit quicker! Brilliant talk this should be shown to youngsters starting out - irrespective of what they think they want to do. A very good blueprint for all of us at what ever stage but the earlier you suss this out the better. My family hero is my grand Uncle Tom. He was born with hip displasia (easy fixed these days) and had a pronounced limp. Brought up on a farm in Ireand he worked the farm from a very early age. All his adult life he was in employment - always grafting and was the Foreman on a building site when he was killed in an accident at work. Married with two boys (who also became grafters). When I "cant be bothered" I say "what would Tom have done" and give myself a B******ing and crack on.

Hey Nate, since you are a 18E have you ever considered doing communications for like Verzion, AT&T ect… do a lot of Echoes do that when they leave Group?
@ValhallaVFT
@ValhallaVFT 11 ай бұрын
Actually have a few 18E buddies that are doing exactly that type of thing now with really big companies. Definitely is an option, I just really never was that into comms, outside of it being a skill set I brought to the team. I also have been an operator first kind of SF guy lol. My passion lies in the tactical realm.

Hey Nate. Quick question. How can one motivate himself to be able to earn the Green Beret at the age of 31? I''m a legal immigrant, took me 8 years to naturalize. I do plumbing for a living and earn good enough to live a comfortable life and I'm physically healthy. I came from 0 so I know I'm mentally strong. Thanks for the video btw

I know lots of guys who start the journey in their 30s, so yes. For example 5 out of the 12 guys on my last ODA we’re over 40. It’s an older man’s game, provided your body can hold up.

Plenty of 5’4 green berets. Makes no difference, long as you can run/ruck/carry the weight.

You said SFQC has a 75% fail rate. Does that count recycles? Is the 35% attrition rate from google wrong?
@ValhallaVFT
@ValhallaVFT 2 ай бұрын
It varies class by class. Right now the selection rate is about 13% which is way lower than usual, but the q course pass rate is very high. Just depends how they’re running the course at the time you go through.
@Tmanstuff

@@ValhallaVFTmakes sense. I ship out for osut for the ng thurs. I won’t attend SFRE and SFAS, for a few years, because I’m still in college. At end of the day attrition rates don’t matter ya got it or ya don’t. Thx for the response

Does it get way more physically intense once passing SFAS?
@ValhallaVFT
@ValhallaVFT 11 ай бұрын
The q course has worse phases physically than selection yes. Both SUT and Robin Sage have more challenging physical events. Selection is just rough because it is 19 days straight where as the other phases the events are more spread out over time.
