I was stoked to see fitness legend Bill Maeda showcasing a few challenging primal movements on his instagram! So, I gave them a go and man...they were INTENSE.
I recorded my efforts and in this video, I give you step by step instructions on how to execute each exercise so maybe one day we can all be as fit and shredded as Bill.
Use these primal moves as inspiration for your next bodyweight workout or combine them all for a killer circuit workout.

I only tried the second exercise and, by my point of view, is really difficult. The others are another planet of training.

Greetings brother, would like to incorporate AF/primal moves into my morning wake-up routine. Could you provide some ideas of how to structure it? Do you personally use it like this as well or just some mild passive stretching? Cheers❤

Hey love this context and I’m putting together a little 15 minute sequence that’ll be available before the end of the year. In terms of structuring it for yourself, I recommend checking in with yourself and asking what you need. If you are sore, worked and tired - check out the AF modifications video for some great integrated stretching. I wouldn’t say it’s passive, just less load (knees on ground or butt on ground). This will fire up the core while giving you space to work into those tight spots. If you wake up and are feeling energized and juiced - hit some core activations in the cat, crab and monkey positions. You can hit some crawling and locomotion. Some transitional moves like kick throughs and underswitches. That’ll give you a nice little workout to start the day. Sucks that I had to take down the library of 20 moves, there were some great stretches in there…but I’ll be posting an updated primal movement library in the coming weeks to help you out. Give these moves a go and if you’re feeling charged up, elevate the knees or butt for more intensity.
