Couple random sound effects can be heard in the last story like fireworks and a jumpscare sound. I cut out a lot of the filler in the last story and forgot to edit out/move the sound effects, so that's why those seemingly random sound effects are there lol

When I was a kid we lived in a rural area. I remember hearing from the woods not far from our house what sounded like a little girl being murdered. It was hair raising and instantly scared me. I was about ten years old but I looked at my dad and said “what the hell is that?!” He kinda smirked and said “that’s a bobcat.” I’ll never forget that sound.

Some animals sound very similar to a human screaming. I think nature loves messing with us humans lol
@stoffpuppe3132
@stoffpuppe3132 Жыл бұрын
Believe me, that happens. Of course, no regular animal cries from where I live. Nope. Which is in around the four corner area, Navajo Nation. Here's a simple story. Okay, it was my third or fourth semester at a local college I'm currently attending, but I used to live in the dormitory located on the second floor. One night as I was getting ready for bed with a small gap of cool breeze blowing from my window, same thing with my roommate as she was preparing to head to bed herself, we both heard an unusual noise outside. It was around 10 at night with a full moon and the campus has slumber soundly asleep, so this sound was crystal clear for both our ears to hear. It sounded like a mixture of a coyote/wolf/old woman scream. It wasn't loud, but it sounded a bit far. We both looked at each other, giving the "What the hell did we just hear?" look and we decided to stay up a bit longer if we can hear it again, but nothing after that. We shrug it off and went to bed afterwards. I mean, yes we were spooked, but for a few moments. It's just we're accustomed to these sounds as we practically grew up with it. Yet this is one of the moments that I won't ever forget.

I loved the narrative, great job, whoever you are. I'm a week away from turning 73, but listening to those tales took me back to age 16, the year was 1964. Back then there was no TV unless we wanted to see re-runs, all dubbed into Japanese. Needless to say we didn't. We had a radio, and we had 4 hours of time each day. On Friday nights we who had a taste for it got to enjoy an added hour to listen to a master storyteller, Boris Karloff, tell us spine-tingling stories on "Shock Theater". My two sisters weren't really interested in being frightened, but l relished the thrills and chills of the scary tales he could bring to life with his unnerving way of making the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Well Sir, you have the knack of making me glance over my shoulder at every little noise l hear if l listen to you late into the night. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. You give me a chance to briefly be 16 again, and nearly frightened of the shadows.

2nd story gave me chills because I was in a situation very similar to the man. I was camping at this camp ground when I was young in my dads car with myself, my dad, and my sister, as we got halfway through a movie that we were watching we heard a knock on the passenger side window (where I was) only to barely make out a dark silhouette of a person standing in front of the window. From the voice of this person we could tell that it was possibly a middle-aged woman, in which she explained she needed “jumper cables” to use to start her vehicle. My dad politely declined. The scariest part though was the fact that we saw her leave in a vehicle with 3 other “large men” as we saw her walk away. It was so eerie to me the fact that her face was so dark and could barely see her through her hood, only thing we could see was the silhouette of her lips and face lit by the moonlight. What she was planning to do when we got out of the car with those other 3 large men idk, but we didn’t want to find out.

I actually ran over a guy that was crouching down in the middle lane of the highway... and the way it was described in the last story about the lady being mistaken for a deer is exactly what went through my head at the time too. Except my incident was on a several lane highway... The guy was released from a mental hospital earlier that day and killed himself. I didnt realize he was a person until it was way too late.. your brain doesn't compute when this kind of situation happens.. It's like, wtf is going on right now and its crazy. At least i wasnt the only one who hit him and a few others pulled over to wait for police too.

For the story with the overheating engine (3:03) my Buick did the same thing but one thing you can do to slow a car from over heating is turn on the heat to max with max circulation. Have it so new air is coming into the car and have the top vents be active (ones by your head). That can cool the engine a bit in summer or winter. It’s also always good to have water and coolant in the car just for this. Just saying I’m not a mechanic but it helped my car at bad times and cooled it off.
@jenx5870
@jenx5870 Жыл бұрын
Why didn't he have a bunch of jugs of water or coolant in the car if he knows his engine always overheats? He could have pulled over and poured some into the radiator to make it to the shop so he didn't blow the engine.
@obamasteeth
@obamasteeth Жыл бұрын
@@jenx5870 I don't think coolant helps when your water pump is out. In fact, even though these are labeled as TRUE stories I call bullshit because he wouldn't be able to idle for 20 minutes. 5 minutes tops without a water pump even on the coldest of days. Sometimes idling overheats quicker than driving.
@mindyschocolate

Yup. I had an old Chevy the same age as me that would overheat. I’d turn on the heat and roll down my windows and would just continue on. Use to always stall on sharp right turns and sitting at an intersection for too long too. Good times. 😂

@@obamasteeth I had an old Blazer where the water pump was going out. Not fully out yet, but definitely going bad enough that driving would overheat it, but it could idle pretty much okay for awhile. I was broke at the time, so I lived with the nuisance of being limited to short trips at low speeds until the thing finally left me stranded when it gave way completely. (I was young and stupid). This guy's WP might have been going out, but not fully out at that time. It's possible anyway.

Story #1: Hell no. You don't run into the woods trying to be a hero with a glorified stick- that's how you die too. Being a hero is great when it works out but you can't just roll the dice like that, and they're not even coming out into visible sight to prove they're not doing anything nefarious! AND you were alone! You get yourself a gun, or if you're really concerned for the person, you call the cops and try to tell them where you are and what's happening, keep your engine running and turn so your headlights hit the woods, and block traffic. That way you can explain to other people (if they happen upon you) what's going on, and it'll be a guaranteed stop.

Back in my trucker days I would often get approached at truck stops by people hitching rides, the mistake they made was asking, hey man are you heading (insert direction here) and I would say naa, I'm heading the opposite way, or if they ask where you heading? I would give them my best stink eye and say what's it to you and keep walking. Don't be giving out personal information to strangers. I have a strict no hitchhikers policy even with women. When i'm on the road I trust NO ONE! I don't care how innocent or non threatening they might look. You can never be too careful nowadays. The stories in this vid reminds me of some of the towns I've driven through on my travels. I won't mention names or even states, I don't wanna offend anyone who might read this and is coincidentally from that area but this one town looked like it would be the perfect location to shoot the next Friday the 13th sequel. I remember thinking "Fuck me, people actually chose to live here?" Correction. I wouldn't call it living, more like waiting to die. Another town i passed through about 8 am, i didn't see another human being the entire time which was the 3 mins it took to drive through the entire town at 25mph. Creepy man, it gave me the willies.

U floor that sh!t. Get out of there. It’s bad enough that they are in the woods, where if u get out of ur car to help them, they have all the advantage. Just drive away, and call the police. Don’t take it upon yourself to help them, because 9 times outta 10, it’s a human pedestrian who is trying to get u outta ur car to lure you into their territory.
