12.1 compression normally aspirated nothing really big on cam specs, and only run it up to 7200 rpm's. 724 hp and 585 torque if memory services me right, and no extra porting on intake, throttle body, are heads is that correct. Man that thing will be a tire shredder in the Nova, but if it hooks up, he's outta here like no one's business. What do you think it'll make on carburetor, and what size carb do you have picked out for it. Actually it possibly could exceed the dyno numbers with the right carb and intake package, especially if ya'll were to devise a ram air setup. We use to use the inside headlights as a place to run 6" aluminum co flex to a truck air cleaner that had the tall air filter init. For those that didn't have the 4 head option, you can always tap it into the radiator support, are drop down just below bumper, and flatten the aluminum flex out to a wide oval to pickup extra air to shove down it's throat. No header wrap to help scavengen the exhaust out as best as possible. Yes ole school tricks we use to do trying to squeeze everything possible out of the old cast iron beast of burden, and I always have had a special place in my heart for the high preformance 327's outta the early vettes. 60 over good set of pistons gasket match the intake and heads beehive double springs on a good valve job. Better lifters biggest towing comp cam you could get, push rods to finish of valve train, 750 dbl pumper big high volume mechanical fuel pump bigger fuel line, long tube headers followed by 3" exhaust through turbo mufflers dumped out right behind the cab of the truck. Aluminum light weight fly wheel, hayes super clutch m21 muncie outta 69 Z car 12 bolt posi with 373. She was a special ride, because for a lwb C10 camper special for 1970. No ps, manual brakes, only thing on the engine accessory drive, water pump, flex fan through a four row radiator, and over sized alternator to run the graig power play stereo and graphic equalizer and amp. Set of Dayton L 60's all the way around on hurricane 11 magnesium deep dish wheels. With big block springs in front, sway bars on each end, and 200 lbs of concrete parking lot bump bolted directly over the axle. Oh yes, the part that really pissed the FOMOCO boys off, mighty mouse was painted the light ford engine blue. Big blocks small blocks only thing that I couldn't beat or at least keep up with, was the Kawasaki 900, 900 with 1000 kit and the 1000 cc Kawasakis. Nothing coukd hang with them, because once they hit second gear, and the tire was hot enough to stick, they were gone like my ex wife got her settlement. Ya'll really should build yourself a late 60's early 70's C10, only use a Escalade drive train all wheel drive with a super charged 6.2 of ya'lls making. Man that'd be a bad biotch if there ever was one. Sorry, got carried away in old memories, but dam I do miss them days long ago, and nothing but fading memories left of all of those good times. Ya'll remember when you were 17 or 18, and how simple life was. Dam sure ain't like this shit we all have to deal with nowadays. Ya'll take care, and be safe out there ripping around in the dark of the night. Peace n Harmony be with you my friend

Timothy, thank you for sharing! To answer your question, we’re using an old 950 Holley that I’ve been using for well over 20 years. I also anticipate the carb and Super Victor manifold would make 15-20 more power up top, over the low plenum EFI intake. The porting was just the transition from the intake and through the intake spacers we got from RHS because of the tall deck block we’re using. I’m encouraged that through our little videos you’ve been reminded of great memories of times past. I hope the sharing of them will keep those sweet times from fading away! I appreciate your enthusiasm :) Take care! Steven.

did you have to sleeve the 6.2l block?

Nope. There’s plenty of room to go 4.125” on a 6.2 block. Done this a couple times making over 600 HP naturally aspirated. Thanks for commenting :)
