This could be the perfect beginner fabrication project. Taking an existing off-road bumper, adding and changing some basic elements, then polishing it up. This very simple and cost effective project mirrors what many of us off-roaders consider when deciding to buy, build or fix. Today I'm doing something that I don't normally film, which is working out the finer details and making a used part look new again.
Enjoy the Video!!! And stay creative folks!

I'm sure majority of folks are here primarily for the fabrication & wheeling content & rightfully so but what I gravitate towards more is the production value side of things...what's going on behind the cam. For me, Post production is the unsung hero of this channel. There's no amount of comprehensive fabrication videos that'd make me pick up a welder & attempt to build my own bumper...not my lane & I'm cool with that but what your content does inspire me to do is grab my Canon & Ronin, film & edit....fyi if you haven't checked out the new Ronin RS/RSC yet...Game Changers! Keep grinding em out!

Couldn't agree more. Production value is top tier. It's made me want to step up my A/V game. I wouldn't be subbed to Make. Art. Now. & Potato Jet if it wasn't for Nate's high caliber production. Ronin gimbals are way out of my league but I'm trying to see what I can make happen with a Pocket 2, Mavic mini, a couple of Osmo Actions & Polar Pro ND filters lol

@@apexpredator_jku dude, you don't need the latest & greatest camera/ronin. You'd be surprised what you can do with a mobile phone & a gimbal. I have edits with footage from a Rebel SL3, Pocket & Samsung Note 10 & I bet you couldn't tell which was which.

Thanks man! I'm happy to see someone appreciates the time I spend in story telling. The shooting and editing is something that I truly enjoy. The rsc is definitely on the list! That raven eye is a game changer so I could use my cin lenses in combination with active track. The active track alone would be worth it IMO but for now I'm going to keep using my ronnin s. This thing is still a beast just a little outdated I suppose lol.

@@DirtLifestyle OMG... I thought tech nerds that wheel such as myself were far & few in between lol. So stoked to see that there's others that share my enthusiasm with wheeling just as much as something as epic as Raveneye...the luxury of being able to frame your shot without having to get up from under your rig is a game changer & active track 3.0 has gotten so intuitive it's almost spooky. I've tried to fake it out & it just locks on. Don't even get me started with the 3D focus....any camera, any lens.

One thing I've learned with using the bed liner paint is after primer, paint with regular paint let set then layer up the bedliner paint. No matter how much bedliner you use, it will still have "pores" from the sand and will eventually allow moisture in, and rust to start. Been there, made this mistake several times before a bodyman buddy pointed out the obvious. Great video as always. Cheers!

Powder coat is the only way to go for me. I used to rattle can everything and it didn't hold up. I finally found a good powder coat guy who doesn't rape me like most of them do. As I got better at fabrication I had to step up my finish game. You do need to get good at metal finishing or all your mistakes will show up in the powder coat. That is just my opinion so save you stupid comments for somebody who cares. Nice video. I think you are a good inspiration to most guys who can't build their rigs out of a catalog.

You always take the time to put on your PPE. I find that during the hot summer days it’s harder to use since I sweat so much. Even on the small stuff you use it. I think it’s important for fabricator to show that taking care of your body in the long run is important. Thanks for the great content.

Looking good Nate, love your videos! A quick test for your concrete is to just drop some water on it! If it's sealed it'll bead up and sit on top instead of soaking in and making a wet spot. While concrete has different ratios of rock/sand/cement, cement itself is pretty consistent across the range of products it's used in being made mostly of limestone and silica.
