That “I love you” from Angela to Shawn was so heartfelt, it was as if you could literally see the walls she put up to protect Shawn from herself being torn down the very moment she turned around, looked at him, and started walking toward him. Honestly this was probably one of the most heartfelt “I love you” moments in TV history, you could tell she meant every word.

Who else wanted Shawn to be with Angela when you saw her in Girl Meets World? Shawn + Angela forever in my book

This was the way it was supposed to be. Shawn and Angela were supposed to get married after she returned from Europe and they were supposed to have a cute little biracial daughter who was going to be Riley’s best friend. THAT was what was supposed to happen.

shawns soft ‘i love you too. i always have’ is EVERYTHING. they’re genuinely one of the cutest tv couples in my opinion, and this love confession is up there with some of the best just on it’s sheer heartwarming that was communicated beautifully

Shawn and Angela's story was more compelling than Cory and Topanga's. This might sound crazy but I thought an interesting way they could have done the reboot would be for the main character to have been Angela and Shawn's child. Cory and Topanga could be in the show but have another child in the class (maybe one that was similar to Topanga)

I'd had rather they never brought Angela back on Girl Meets World than for her to come back only to reveal that she's married.

I love this scene because it really points out how much of our relationships with our parents affect our relationships with others. Angela is so afraid of hurting Shawn and ending up like her mother and yet she is unintentionally hurting Shawn and trying to run away from her problems like her mother. It's only when we confront these fears head on that we can ever achieve a semblance of peace and love.

I'm so sick of people hating on Angela and disrespecting her in the comments . She didn't dump Shawn at the end of the show she went to Europe with her dad. She was always a good girlfriend to Shawn who put her through so much. No matter how many times Shawn self destructed she stood by him. I'm also sick of hearing that they didn't get together because it wouldn't have been realistic. Oh but Cory and Topanga are? The BMW writers changed up Cory and Topanga's relationship so many times to justify that those two were meant to be, but they couldn't do what when it came to Angela and Shawn? Those two were perfect for each other and there was no need to change up their story to prove that. Just listen to the cheer that comes from the crowd when Angela says "I love you." And this was from a time when interacial couples were rare on TV. They still are but it was even rarer in the 90's. There was no reason why they couldn't be a couple in GMW the fact that they had to vilify Angela in order to make Shawn's relationship work is proof of that. I'm glad that show got canceled.

Shawngela was raw and real more so than Cory and topanga’s storyline. Definitely my fave couple and judging by the audience reaction @ 2:16 their relationship was captivating and realistic. They overcame childhood trauma and we could see so much growth that they both did for each other. I also think it’s important to note that they never betrayed each other in any way, Shawn broke things off with Ang before dating other girls (unlike Cory) but he did so as a destructive tactic knowing he wouldn’t find better than her & I think that still applies to the grown version of him in GMW. He knows there’s no one better than Angela. In my mind, they ended up together after Angela came back from Europe. There is no way Shawn nor Angela could’ve married someone else because they’re twin flames/ soulmates.

If Angela’s dad has been there for every argument in this show they would’ve been resolved in seconds

their chemistry was undeniably the utmost everlasting relationship out of all the other ones including topanga and cory’s one. Shangela were meant to be unseparable but it seemed like the writers were complete racists just like the rest of that cast towards versatility (without including rider) and decided to split them.

And Angela's fear of hurting him GAWD!!!! I mean, I'll believe GMW's stance that Shawn and Angela just can't happen only if Angela is still not willing to take a chance and give her all to Shawn in fear of hurting him worse than she's ever had. They obviously couldn't squash out Shawn having feelings for her, and, ya know what? I'm calling her marriage BS. When she heard Shawn still hadn't moved on, she got a ring and pretended that she was married so Shawn would have no choice to move on because that whole reunion between them was cringey as hell. She was too rushed and too blase (TOO TOUCHY) for it all to be authentic.

These two always helped and loved each other, but BMW just had to mess it all up.
