During my late husband's final days with Alzheimer dementia, I would touch my forehead to his and he would smile. I had started this gesture with him before he became bedridden. He responded and I have to feel there was something sweet he remembered that made him smile. I cry when I write this.

I am so sorry for you both. I believe he knew you were there and appreciated your caring for him. My late Mom who I cared for had Alzheimer for many years. I was the primary care giver. For years before she passed away she only recognized me as someone who took care of her. She didn't remember me as her daughter. But the days before she passed away, she recognized my voice as I whispered in her ears and squeezed my hand in acknowledgement.

I am a very touchy-feely kind of person. Anytime I would walk past my late husband if he was sitting watching television or reading or whatever he was doing if I’m walking past him, I am touching him as I go. That would just grab his attention, thinking that I wanted something from him but I said no that’s just passing little love onto you, every time I did that afterwards, he just knew that here comes more love

I was married 14 years to a man who hated touch and PDA would only like it during sex... now divorced and getting back into the dating world, your videos have helped me so much. My husband and I knew each other in high school. 25 years later, we ran into each other again in a 12-step program. We spoke a few times at meetings, basically just saying hi. I was newly sober and he had about two years of sobriety. At the time I had no thoughts about having a relationship with him. Not too long after we came back into contact, he was speaking very emotionally at a meeting about having just found out that his teenage son (whom he had not been able to see growing up, but had just started having contact with and getting to know)had recently been killed in a rock climbing fall. I immediately got up and went and sat down beside him and took ahold of his hand as a way to try to comfort and support him and just sat there holding his hand as he continued sharing. Powerful stuff - a little over two years later we got married. Now he's got 23 years and Ive got 21 years of sobriety. We've had rocky places in our marriage, but we have been best friends since that day and always will be.

I agree with all of these. Pay attention ladies bc the men send these messages the same way. I didnt realize my "friend" had feelings until he starting reaching for my hands across the table and looking in my eyes. We have always just been good friends.

My man was sitting in a chair outside I went inside and when I came back out I came up behind him and wrapped my arms around his chest and kissed his neck softly. And he placed his hands on mine and I could tell he loved it. Also have ran my fingers up and down the spine of my man he went crazy.

Matt is so right about a man's reaction telling it all. I went on a date with a guy who said in words he wanted a relationship and wanted affection from me. I touched his hand as we walked along and he freaked out, pulled his hand abruptly away, and felt so uncomfortable he had to go home, and just left me standing there....... He was still in love with his ex wife and was trying to push himself forward to move on when he wasn't really ready to. ..... But his natural reaction said it all to both himself and me.

When I am holding hands I will usually take my thumb and gently and softly caress his hand with it. Also you are walking and you take your arm place your hand gently on his back and give some gentle touches.

All these touches are amazing and totally relatable in relationship. My boyfriend loves it when I run my fingers through his hair especially after he gets his monthly haircut. He pouts when I forgot to do it when I see him it's very cute. He giggles and smiles the whole time. I also randomly grab his butt and he giggles( he's ticklish like me ). He also loves holding my hand with hand squeezes and I do it too especially when we are in a crowd since I'm much shorter than him he doesn't want to loose me. I also give him hugs from behind and front( he's taller than me by 6 inches so I feel like I'm hugging a tree). The slow back traces makes him giggle and melt when we're cuddling and definitely helps start foreplay when we're making out, along with the warm breath in his ear and fingers through his hair. It's my foreplay triangle I call it 😂 I agree the forehead connection is super deep and very connecting. I feel like that is the deepest touch out of all especially after a good emotional talk or activity. Thanks for sharing Mat 🤗

I dated a man once who shared with me how much he loved it when we were holding hands and I’d reach across my body to lay my free hand across our held hands …if that makes sense. It wasn’t even anything I thought about before doing it, I just never could get close enough to him. I wanted to be as close as possible without smothering or being over-the-top. He picked up on that subtle message and just ate it up. ❤

lol when I’m handling a piece of paper work to a certain physician accidentally he touches my hands and said it tickles him and the other physician who’s interested witnesses it told the other physician no to do it again protecting me from his maybe flirting but at the moment I have no idea what’s happening or going on.
