I love my Tikka. It is reliably about .5 MOA. I got it as a special treat for me and took my son to a long range class. Most fun I've ever had and it got the bug in him. We are waiting on some reloading supplies now and he will be starting out learning loading and shooting. I look forward to a lot of fun. Great videos by the way,

Awesome vid. I may be preaching to the choir here, but from shooting competitions in the hilly parts of CA, if the round suddenly goes a different direction at some range, it's usually from high wind gusts up real high. We've had stages where no one could see any mirage, vegitation, or any metered readings down in the Crux of our valley, but for our furthest shots most people's paths got shifted like a 10mph wind suddenly hit it

Loved it. I took my self built aero precision m5e1 18 inch stainless barrel .308 out to 1k yards with a Nikon 4x16 fx1000 scope and was hitting a 14x14 steel. It wasn’t easy but I was hitting it 70 percent of the time. I know that’s a reach for a .308 but that’s all I had when asked to go so I made the best of it. I am going to get a 6.5 cm this year so all this info you showing is greatly appreciated.

@XRING4 жыл бұрын
Brakes are always crazy loud. I am going to confess on the glass. I personally put a lot of money into my glass with no regret. However, it was evident that under these conditions that the 289.00 Primary Arms is able to do everything I was doing with my setup. We held and dialed with that scope and it was spot on every time. I was genuinely surprised.

Who did the coat on the Tikka?
@rayshepard22224 жыл бұрын
Hey Ray wanted to ask your opinion on something. I have the Tikka that you guys were shooting and love it. Have the atlas bt46 bipod on it and think it is a great match. I just bought the larger Ruger in 338 lapua and need a bipod for it. Since I already have a 46 thought I would get something different that might be compliment to what I have already. Would you have a recommendation? Thanks, Ray Shepard
@XRING4 жыл бұрын
Ray Shepard Thanks for the question Ray. However, I really only use the BT-46’s or the BT-10’s. The only other bipods that I own are some old Harris units. I haven’t had a chance to try the Thunderbeast bipod that was recently released but I hope to soon. I am not well versed on all the different bipods out there today. Thanks for the question, but I really don’t have a good answer for that.

I am so stumped on a long range rifle,, local gun store told me to not buy a mag pul Remington 700 ,, said to buy the tikka t3x,, but I don't see any affordable chassis for it ,,, I want to nail down 1000yard then move on to 1500 and so on ,,, I still think the remy 700 is best but have no real world experience ,,, what you guys think????
@XRING4 жыл бұрын
Hello Neil, I understand your frustration. However, why would you need another chassis with the T3X? I like the Remington 700 and it is hard to go wrong with that platform. I was told last night that PCR’s were going for $699 online. That would leave plenty of money if you wanted to go with a different chassis system .
