The Trump wall, or simply "the wall", is a colloquial name for a proposed expansion of the Mexico-United States barrier during the U.S. presidency of Donald Trump. Throughout his 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump called for the construction of a much larger border wall, claiming that if elected, he would "build the wall and make Mexico pay for it." At the time, President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto stated that his country would not pay for the wall.
In January 2017, Trump signed Executive Order 13767, which formally directed the US government to begin attempting wall construction along the US border with Mexico using existing federal funding; actual construction did not begin at this time due to the significant expense and lack of clarity on how it would be funded. The federal government was partly shut down for 35 days per Trump's insistence to veto any spending bill that did not include $5.7 billion in border wall funding.
In February 2019, Trump signed a Declaration of National Emergency, saying that the situation at the Mexico-United States border is a crisis requiring money allocated for other purposes to be used instead to build the wall. Congress passed a joint resolution to overturn the emergency order, but Trump vetoed the resolution. As of March 2019 U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed that, although they had begun to replace old fencing, no new wall had yet been built. In May 2019, however, a private organization called We Build The Wall constructed, with President Trump's encouragement, 3/4 mile of new wall on private property near El Paso, Texas and promised further wall construction in the future.

Remember all the fuss? All the wrangling over this? Now nobody talks about it. Most of those complainers were never going to see it anyway. The amount of suffering this wall will prevent is inestimable. It's worth every penny. It will save so many lives, from murder victims to drug deaths to human trafficking victims. It's really awesome.

These are mostly replacing existing walls...video shows another ramshackle wall in the background. Apparently the 450 miles will cost $18 billion ...or $7,700 per FOOT!!!!!!! Apparently those aren't steel fences...they are made of GOLD...tRump preferred color.

If they are building 7 miles/week and the last report 2 weeks ago was 423 miles then >430 miles must be completed at a minimum. It is more likely it is >437 miles or even > 444 miles. The latter is the most likely if they are to reach 450 miles by 12/31 as that is just 3 days away. If they continue this rate into Jan in the first 3 weeks, by inauguration day, there would be an additional 21 miles putting it at about 471 miles.

Maybe they work with the concrete, maybe with the steel, maybe supervision, or a number of different things. But government does over hire and people stand around because government doesn't have to show a profit and there is little you can do when they raise your taxes.

WeBuildtheWall built 1/2 mile of Wall in 3 days but nothing else. Trump has 100 miles of new wall already completed with 17 crews completing 1 miles per day for a total of 500 miles by Dec. 2020.

Question: One shovel is digging the trench and dumping in to a sifting device, while another seems to be dumping the sifted soil back into the excavated trench. Am I missing something?

Yes...thats what I saw too...althou its possible the Tanker truck was pumping something into the mix....perhaps onsite concrete mixing?? Its costing $7,700 per lineal foot...so better guess would be its GOLD.

I saw the videos that Fischer Industries had posted of their process. I was so impressed that I donated. If Fischer’s process were being used here I’d be glad to donate again, they have gotten it fine tuned.

Trump has 17 crews working completing 1 mile per day with 100 miles already complete. He said that no one company can handle the job. Many companies have been given contracts. WeBuildtheWall and Fischer built 1/2 mile of Wall in 3 days which was great but I have not heard of them starting any new projects since.

If you look at what is being done now, it is sad to note that what is being done now is not a wall but removing an old fence and replacing it with an increased height, the money from Arm Forces budget should not be approve by the Supreme Court and pass by Pentagon, it should come from infrastructure budget but the administration has given this money to the rich by way of tax cut, it is a disgrace for the current administration to use Arm Forces fund for an infrastructure repair/replacement work.

The Government does not build fences or walls....its ALL contracted out....so the 14 guys you see standing around are Private contracts....ripping us off to the tune of $7,700 PER FOOT of wall.....do the Math.
