How about a powered usb hub plugged into that? I currently use a powered usb hub plugged to the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter for my MacBook. But it can only take so many usb.

If you use the ssd intensely, it heats up very much. It started when I bought it, I had the impression that it was going to sleep and it was getting warm, but now it stays hot even if I don't use ssd anymore and even if I eject it. Do you know what I could do to make it less hot when I don't use ssd?

Hi there Rick!! Is there any 2TB SSD with low power consumption that you know of, that can work on the M1 Pro without the extra power adapter??🙂 I read this hub uses 5v or so; so perhaps a 2TB SSD that can work with that amount of power from the M1?? Thanks a lot, I’d appreciate your thoughts on this very much🙋🏻‍♂

Did you check whether the thermal "tape" actually contacted the aluminum lid firmly?

It doesn't. I seen another video from another creator calling out this design flaw. Basically does nothing to cool ur ssd. Basically useless. Disregard anyone who pushes this garbage enclosure

Can you use a lighting cable in stead of the type C too connect up too a 2018 10.5 I pad

You need a specific lightning to USB adapter, not the standard lightning cable. It may also not give you all of the functionality that you would get with a USB-C iPad Pro.

Would that be the adapter that goes onto the lighting cable,That then turn the said cable into a type c cable
