We need Nickelodeon to let Heavy Iron Studios make the SpongeBob games, like now!

THQNordic announced today they will be re-releasing Nickelodeon titles starting later this year. Only shows are mentioned, including Spongebob, but one can hope!

When I saw "Activision Possibly Lost SpongeBob License" I like almost cried tears of happiness at the possibility that maybe they wouldn't be allowed to ruin the franchise further. Of course, it's not official, but at least the possibility is there.

I disagree. I think a new Nicktoons game does have potential. If it were to be a sequel to the first four games, have the main heroes be Spongebob (The Leader since he has the most experience working with a team of Nicktoons before), Lincon from the the Loud House, the Ladybug Girl from that other show I'm aware of but just don't know the name of it, and maybe have the fourth one be either Harvey Beaks or Leonardo. Have the plot be some multiverse story like what the first game was or what Lego Dimensions is while acknowledging the previous games and give it some nostalgic drama and fan service, and bring back the funny humor like what the second and third games had. And include mini games, costumes, and you should be able to unlock classic Nicktoons characters like Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Jimmy Neutron, Jenny/XJ9, Rocko, Ren, Stimpy, Cat Dog, Aang, Danny Phantom, Sam Manson, Arnold, Gerold, Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Angelica Pickles, Zim, GiR, you name it. You can Unlock these characters either at the store, side missions, or through DLC. Or a new Nicktoons Racing game that will let you play as 12 starter characters (Spongebob, Patrick, Plankton, Lincon, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Shredder, that ladybug woman, Harvey Beaks, and whoever you bring in as long as they're from either TMNT 2012, Loud House, the Ladybug girl show, or Harvey Beaks), race through tracks based on animated Nickelodeon shows old and new, include a story mode where you race as either Spongebob, the Ladybug girl, Lincon, Leonardo, or Harvey Beaks like Sonic Adventure, a Grand Prix Time Trial Single Race Mode of course, Team Race Mode where you'll race as a Nicktoon while having one or two as team members, and you can unlock past Nicktoons characters, like Jenny/XJ9, Danny Phantom and Jimmy Neutron, by beating them in a race, just like how you unlock fighters in Super Smash Bros. You can also unlock more characters like Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy through DLC and you should have the opportunity to unlock a fourth difficulty, Expert. I'm here from the future! There is a remake of BFBB! I have spoken!

Here's my idea for a sequel. Story: Plankton is failing to come up with a new plan to steal the Formula, with Karen eventually suggesting "There's this thing called 'perfecting old projects.' Ever heard of it?". Typically Plankton takes the credit for the plan and decides to build a newer, improved Duplicat-o-Tron 3000, without the "Don't Obey" switch. Meanwhile, SpongeBob and Patrick are bored and are searching in SpongeBob's toy chest, Patrick finds the toy robot from the first game, with SpongeBob refusing, saying "Not that Robot! Don't you remember what happened last time with those things?" Patrick replies with "Oh, come on, SpongeBob! You and I both know it was a coinsidence that robots attacked, now, are you ready for 'Robots and Race Horses?'". An army of old and new robots (Including ones piloting vehicles) attack Bikini Bottom again though this time, prove to be too much for SpongeBob and his friends, SpongeBob, Patrick, and the rest eventually escape to Sandy's TreeDome in Sandy's acorn escape pod, but are blasted by a Robot's projectile crash landing in Atlantis (The one from Atlantis Squarepantis), which is also under attack by Plankton's robots. They are surrounded by Atlanteans and LRH, who is angry to see SpongeBob return after what had happened last time. While trying to estimate how long they should be imprisoned, SpongeBob interrupts offering to Stop the robots in the garden, LRH then agrees by taking the group to a training room inside of the palace. The playable characters would be SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, and Mr Krabs. Abilities: SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy retain their previous abilities (including Patrick's cartwheel). Squidward: Clarinet waves, Tentacle slaps, Suction Cups to climb walls, and Head Slam. Mr krabs: Claw punch, Shell Slam, Giant Penny Discs, and Hides in Shell to pass obstacles such as fire. SpongeBob: One additional ability is performing the Bubble Technique by pushing buttons on the screen in the correct order. The Technique is used for creating platforms or objects to explore other areas of levels. Collectibles : Platinum Spatulas, Shiny Objects, and SquidWard's sheet music pages (replacing Patrick's socks). Enemies: New versions of: Fodder, Ham-Mer, G-Love, Tar-Tar, Monsoon, Chuck and Slick. New Robots: Pinch: Pinches with giant Claw. Ray: Flys and charges laser and targets player. Fore: Launches explosive golf balls. R: Pirate robot with sword hook. Fri-Quincy (Pun for frequency): Charges to release harmful soundwaves. Buzz: Swings Buzz Saws. Camo: Invisible robot who indicates when to dodge by revealing weapon, after attacking, he reveals himself. The first Hub is Atlantis: The levels are: The Garden, Treasure room, Science room, Art room, and Bubble room Mini Boss: The Nose from the science room End Boss: Rob-Squidward in the Weapon room The Atlanteans then offer SpongeBob a newly crafted Bus to return to Bikini Bottom, They travel until they notice New Kelp City (from Who-Bob What-Pants) is also being attacked. Squidward refuses to land, but SpongeBob convinces him. After landing they are approached by a mob whom recognize SpongeBob as Mayor CheeseHead BrownPants (being angry due to the bubble rule he had created.) Sandy stops the mob, with SpongeBob once again offering to stop the robots to make up for his rule. Second Hub: New Kelp City Levels: Construction Site, Sewers, Abandoned district, The Dump, and The Park Mini Boss: Bubble Poppin' Boys (whom are trying to stop the robots themselves) in the abandoned district End Boss: Robo-Krabs at the Bank The New Kelp City Mayor is happy with SpongeBob and offers a Limousine to Bikini Bottom, The group finally return to Bikini Bottom to see the ChumBucket upgraded to the Mega Bucket and the town in chaos. The group are ready to finally retake Bikini Bottom. Final Hub: Bikini Bottom Levels: Jellyfish Fields, Glove Universe, Goo Lagoon, Downtown, Mermalair, The Zoo, and The Chum Bucket Mini boss: Man Ray in the Mermalair End Boss: Robo-Plankton (Combined with Karen, piloted by Plankton) Each character is assigned a phase ending with SpongeBob. After the Robot is defeated, the group destroy the new Duplic-a-Tron, causing all the robots in across the sea to be deactivated. Plankton and Karen then argue, with SpongeBob and his friends celebrating the moment. For collecting All Platinum Spatulas, the secret ending is a celebration in Downtown for SpongeBob's victory over the robots. I would like to know your opinion on my idea.

We need to have this..I played this game when I was 4 years old. It was actually my first game. And I'm very sure that it was many people's first game. I loved the fact it could be so unforgiving, especially with Spongebot Stealpants. I'd love to see them add in the cut content, like Robot Squidward or the cut battle with Patrick for Spongebot Stealpants, or even Patrick's dream! I'd let my baby sister play it, because she's obsessed with the show too.

I have come from the present, and the present says that there will be a remastered BFBB game that will feature cut content from the original. So here's to having high hopes of seeing Robot Squidward and (original) Patrick's dream.

THQNordic confirmed that the first thing they will do is get back every franchise they have ever owned. Also Heavy Iron Studios last game was Disney Infinity, and since that game is no longer in production, we can expect the next SpongeBob game to be at least playable.

Fred THQNordic is planning to remake a couple of old Nickelodeon games, and that includes SpongeBob. It's official now.

With the 3rd movie coming out in July of 2020, I can only imagine a game releasing to support it. Original director, veteran staff and Nickelodeon knowing Heavy Iron's capabilities, this will be their final chance to impress and come out with quality. They've screwed up enough with Activision and the sequel to the 1st movie and with the sticks back in veteran hands, it's their final chance to prove the series is still great.

If they only remake BfBB, I hope they add Movie Game elements. Imagine a new Salty Spatoon stage with BBBH gimmicks with a music remix. They could blend the slide theme from BfBB and the Movie Game together! Patrick can be given his cartwheel move! These are just a few ideas they could add in the remake!

Honestly I've always loved Spongebob and I'm enjoying the latest season. Some of the previous episodes are almost as good as the episodes in seasons 1-3 and the second movie was hilarious. Additionally, I honestly think Battle For Bikini Bottom is one of the most underrated and best video games ever made. Like not even just platformers. I'd put it in a top 20 range or so. Fucking beautifully crafted and hilarious game. An HD remake or a sequel would make me very excited and happy. The movie game was also a 10/10 A+++++ masterpiece. So, my Spongebob loving brethren, march over to Nickelodeon's social media pages and E-mail addresses and fucking get that sequel made. Not only would it make this normally cynical man shed a nostalgic tear but finally give me something fun to play in this boring age of shooter and mobile app games. Spongebob is one of the best cartoons ever made and deserves some good ass games. Let's do this. Maybe kids can experience a decent Spongebob game and a collectathon platformer for the first time in their lives too.

In my opinion, the best game Heavy Iron Studios ever made was the SpongeBob Movie Game. Battle for Bikini Bottom is my fourth favorite SpongeBob game. It just has too many problems for me to call it the best SpongeBob game ever, or even the best licensed game ever. I really want a new SpongeBob game regardless. If not from Heavy Iron, then from some other developer who has experience with platforming games, like Insomniac Games for example.

What about a Nicktoons game done right? My idea would involve the famous toys-to-life prodigal involving just the classic Nicktoons only. As expected, there's a starter pack, a portal, and Nicktoons figurines included. There are four starter pack ideas I had in mind for. Starter pack #1 is the common starter pack with Spongebob and Timmy Turner (The Fairly Oddparents), Starter pack #2 is the superhero starter pack with Jenny (My Life as a Teenage Robot) and Danny Phantom, Starter pack #3 is the Avatar-themed starter pack with Aang and Korra, and Starter pack #4 is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed starter pack with all four turtles contained. Other playable characters include Patrick, Sandy, Cosmo, Wanda, Jimmy Neutron, Sheen, Mr. Nesmith, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Prince Zuko, Mako, Bolin, Asami, Tenzin, Splinter, April O'Neil, and Casey Jones. In a similar manner to "Lego Dimensions", you can explore those Nicktoon hub worlds with the co-responding character on your team, but like "Disney Infinity", you can also customize a Nicktoons universe of your own with the art-styles, backgrounds, and other settings reminiscent to mentioned properties, plus some aren't playable worlds like "Rugrats", "Chalkzone", "Ren and Stimpy", "Catdog", "Barnyard", "Oggy and the Cockroaches", "The Loud House" (50% chance since it is also a Cartoon Network show), "Tak and the Power of Juju", and "Rango".
