Glad the team fixed the rudder. Reminds me of a big old mansion I lived in when I was a teenager. Something was always needing repair. But the glory of living in such a beautiful place with a bunch of wonderful people. Heaven…

One time we were around 40 NM off shore in ugly weather. The rudder fell off. The skipper at the time ripped up the dining table, cannibilised some long lengths of timber and using wood screws as nails, hammered a makeshift tiller arm to the table, held in place with lines at the stern, ripped the compass out of the wheelhouse and told me to steer from that. We got back ok. Improvisation at its best.

Since Myles has already expressed how happy we are to have Molly back, I will say what an extraordinary adventure we've begun. I loved the teamwork in finding and fixing the rudder issue. The excellent musical score, vibe, and overall happiness made me happy too. Thanks for sharing. 😁

The new crew are loads of fun and personality. It's great seeing Molly back. As for the rudder issues, that was Murphy's Law testing you guys. Aitor and Neria are gone so Murphy figured, throw them a problem or two and see how they handle it... LOL. Very cool episode. Looking forward to more. Cheers Sylfia crew!

I love this channel because of multinational nature of this crew. It gives me hope that 10 more or less random strangers can live and work together to achieve their goals. Maybe we can all learn something from the crew of Sylfia. The quality of the photography is amazing as well. Bravo Nate and the gang! Keep it going!

Great teamwork amongst all… never a dull moment onboard a big sailboat! Wanted to say ahoy to Philippe, isn’t he the (crazy!) climber that camped-out on the triatic?
