HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

See, the issue with a policy like that is that if they're all erased, they don't get to teach anyone of their folly. "If you kill the last human, the universe ends and your species will be eradicated from existence" is a pretty powerful lesson to learn.

@@gonicad Someone knowing you could end them, and chosing to be your friend. Is different from someone being threatened with you ending them if they're not your friend. But I think they should be made to go through redemption arcs. Make them understand what they did wrong. So they can grow.

Very few people fear oblivion, we can barely comprehend it in the first place. More fear death, but this is not oblivion, it is merely the end of a story that another can still read, should they have the eyes to see it. But even that is not often feared. What most truly fear is the suffering that often precedes this state. This creature never got to experience true oblivion in this story, he merely died twice and experienced suffering preceding this twice as well. True oblivion would have required complete erasure in all of time, which did not happen here based on the ability for these "humans" to know of the events of the previous universes. A true punishment, in my opinion, would not be oblivion. But to personally experience each and every suffering inflicted by the perpetrator, in its entirety, then to spend eternity having to remember what they did.

@@venoltarwhile I agree that that would be a better punishment, the trick is they are allowing everyone in the cycle to be reborn next cycle (initially without memories although I think if their people survive to the end of a cycle that ends by natural heat death which requires humanity survive free they would become like humanity in this story) including the entirety of the individuals in the race that genocides humanity aside from those who planned and ordered the end of humanity. Thus his race will reoccur without any changes aside from his own birth and all events he influenced after that. Thus his race will eventually join humanity in living through and aware of the cycle as equals with the sole exception of him and any others who do the same genociding of humanity as he does. Thus his punishment is to be erased knowing that he could've lived eternally along with everyone he ever cared about, but now not even his mother or father will ever be aware of him in future cycles.

Humans figured out the universe is a simulator so they hacked it when they found out it was boring and were doom to be alone. So they restarted and added others only to be suffer by pvp they hit the sever restart that only happens as the last human dies. New game, time to start agian and so it repeated time and time again the cycles of the universe. The game of life that the humans improved form a single player game to a mutiplayer game. Lol the humans are the reset button.

So humans became gods , but it all went south anyway. Predictable! You want to change something? Try changing yourself. Ah , but here's the rub. How can you change that which you do not know? You are a stranger to your own self. So we come back again, to that forgotten divine command written on the door of an oracle , in a n insignificant valley, lost in a European peninsula. Yet somehow, the world found its way to that temple. Like the fools they were, they pestered the oracle with questions that meant nothing. They took the cryptic answers, and tried to make sense from nonsesne. The true purpose of the temple went unnoticed as went the command upon its door. To this day, it remains unheeded. The key to all your problems , the answer to all your questions, in a simple elegant sentence. Know Yourself! Two little words , so much power behind them.

Eh, more fair to let them know what happened IMO. My only issue is the sentencing of an entire species to the void. I find it hard to believe none, not even a single civilian, of them were redeemable. Still a good story.

I don't agree with the ending. "We will erase your very existence!" Or... Be the teachers you want to be. Have him live a life that he can learn from his mistakes. Would be far more fitting. Making someone truly understand the wrong they did so they can be better... That's what a just entity would do.
