Just something to point out of the design of the snake baby, it's mouth is very different to the serpent skeletons we saw in season 1. Those had jaws and teeth like a real world earth snake. Mother's baby snake on the other hand has a mouth and teeth akin to a lamprey or leech. If the anatomy is any indication, this snake could be parasitic, or at least plot-wise a leech or agent of Sol.

YEAH! Im 100% on board with the idea that another still alive serpent/snake dragged them into the acid water. I don’t think all the other snakes before could fly, and i think the holes in the earth maybe indicate that, so that could easily explain why an ancient giant snake would drag something into the water and then into the earth.. Maybe the ancient snakes Dig or burrow unlike #7 who is the opposite & flies & doesnt eat meat!

Notice the way Marcus scooted up that rock face. Recall that the similarly jumping figure from S1 was covered in snake skin under his robes.

I think Campion and Vrill may have feelings for each other, like a childhood crush. Campion asks Mother later in the episode if other androids can give birth, hinting that he's thinking about what it would be like to start a family with an android one day (which I think makes sense seeing how his parents are androids and kids are hugely influenced by watching their parent's relationship). That could be very awkward since Vrill is a child who can't age... but maybe Vrill could do something to become more human (already hinted at from her leg injury as you mentioned) or maybe even do something to age like a human? Sort of like how in LotR, Arwen chooses a mortal life in to be with Aragorn. Plus, if Vrill's actor starts looking and sounding older like the actor who plays Campion, and remains part of the cast, they will have to come up with reasons for her to grow older.

I suspect that Number Seven's connection to "Sol" was severed when Mother and Father brought it to the tropical zone. And at some point Sol will find a way to reestablish that connection, at which point Number Seven will become a lot more threatening.

Could Marcus be the "sword"? He is probably going to have a renewed relationship with Paul, if we assume he is the chosen one, It could make sense for Marcus to become his protector again. He has the skillset, he was willing to commit suicide to stop the atheists, and now he's imbued with dark photon powers, which as you suggest, could develop Marcus into something more. I could see Marcus either becoming superpowered, or blowing himself up to stop the atheists, clearing the way for Paul to fulfill the prophecy. And he could do all of this without ever being consciously aware of his true role. He may believe he's the chosen one to the very end. Thinking along these lines, the suggestion that the sword is the snake, could then be interpreted as a hint that the sword is a living thing, without making it's identity too obvious. Great series of videos, looking forward to the next one.

I think "Sol" tried to push Campion to kill himself because it knows he's destined to oppose or destroy it.

Thanks for these live-streams! Finally catching up now. At 3:47 you mention not knowing what the hats are for (or "solar shades" as Marcus calls them I believe). My first impression was that they are used as a form of punishment to the Mithraic, so they can't properly worship their god; They are physically being blocked from enjoying Sol's light. My second thought was that the Atheists know about "Sol" (or something) being able to communicate with people, and is using the fashionable head apparel as a sort of "tin foil hat" to block any signals. Though maybe that's unnecessary in the tropical zone... At 24:45 you asked what Mother did with the scalpel; she used it to remove the Mithraic tracking device in Tempest when they were alone in that dome structure. The crazy part to me was she was able to knock her out by simply saying "Sleep", cut out the tracker, then healed the wound with a touch. Maybe those could be some of Marcus' future powers?

I believe a larger cast has restricted the budget. The 1st season was very isolated in terms of characters. Now there are people everywhere.

This season 2 of Raised by wolves is more amazing I think the giant snake will be an ally to Mother in the last episodes of this season.

the strange this, I tried watching the show and couldn't get into it, but I absolutely love these recaps. I don't know why exactly, maybe someone who has actually seen the show can explain this.

I think the parallels between the events of this show and the garden of Eden are quite obvious. The snake, of course, Mother and Father as Adam and Eve, and the Tropical Zone as the Garden of Eden, both protected from entry by someone. So who will be Cain and Abel? Campion and Paul? Or Campion and the snake? Cain went east of Eden to mate with the "daughters of men." Is that Vrill? And naming Mother as Lamia seems important too. A whole lot of myths are used as sources. I hope it is allowed to follow the storytellers arc as they want.

So the bomb packs in this episode have a 15m blast radius, but in episode 1 it’s ~1m, apparently.

12:09 -- I took the comment about him not having his own eyes as saying that maybe this man was of Mithraic faith and stole the identity of one of the atheists, the reverse of Marcus and Sue. That would include grafting the eyes with lenses to change their appearance. And I presume that had he attempted to fix his sight, he would get his eyes scanned and it would be revealed he's not the OG Cleaver. That theory has its complications though. Like, this kind of situation should be predictable, especially to something like the Trust. Their convo would also imply that Mother knows or suspects him of stealing identity. She should have told the Trust (in theory she could have off-screen, or might yet later). Though maybe the Trust is in on it. Either accepting or using Cleaver for whatever reason. My overarching theory is that the Trust's design and purpose ultimately come from the planet's Entity (like all of the technology that the Mithraic had found encoded in their scriptures which must have been delivered to them from the outside, presumably by the androids in a spaceship, like on that cave painting; though even an electromagnetic signal could work I guess; presumably, humans don't understand everything about what was revealed and just use it or build upon the designs' apparent functions oblivious to something nefarious lurking inside). I suspect that both the AI and the Entity are working together already or at least towards the same goal, continuing to pit humanity against each other. A manufactured conflict that destroyed the Earth and gave humanity a reason to travel to Kepler. I guess, whatever happened on Kepler 22-b in the past -- maybe some last ditch effort to rebel against the Entity -- destroyed its capability to procreate, or to even simply create technology directly. Now that humans were forced to flee from Earth and delivered a Necromancer with a 3D printer inside of it, which the Entity already used to make a snake (for whatever purpose), humanity can die. Except the magnetic field in the tropical zone diminishes the Entity's influence (so maybe the snake doesn't know its purpose just yet). Anyway, the Entity might have indirectly ensured that the conflict it started on Earth continues on Kepler and that humans will fight each other into oblivion even without its direct influence in the tropical zone. That might be the only reason why atheists managed to hijack one of the arks. I was also wondering about what quantum six might be hinting at. One of the concepts in quantum physics is non-locality. A quantum system of entangled particles can be spread out over huge distances but is still considered just one object (there's one equation that describes them all, until they decohere). So what if once the Trust is outside of the tropical zone, or the magnetic force there diminishes, the Entity and the Trust entangle and become one mind (or the AI could be overwhelmed by the Entity's mind joining them). Anyway, the Trust could be already six AIs entangled. With Sol joining, it will be 7 - a number with religious significance.

The characters Mother and Father are my favorite and the twist with the snake is great! I loved also the android fight it brought a funny lightness to the show which gave a great contrast to the mysterious seriousness of the show. That I find important to humanize the figures and make them more relatable. I'am happy about that cause a slight humor gives the show balance. I hope that they further improve and will crack the 8 points at imbd. For me it is a great show which has earned far more credits. If we compare it with trashy stuff shows like becoming witches who play on chesy love stories and taking the trotted out path of vampire b.s. and such a trashy show gets 8 points on imbd in contrast a really innovative, mature and great show like raised by wolves gets only 7.5 at imbd. The show (RbW) is very mysterious and intellectual and I think many don't get that (it's to high and demanding for the average) and therefore can't appreciate this great show. Surely the acting and character building aren't at the level of Game of Thrones and I therefore would never expect a 9 rating on Imbd but I think a proper rating would be around 8.5

If you or anyone plans to play dark souls after everyone piled on elden ring..skip DS2 haha It's a rushed mess made by the B team, the polished hitboxes, intricate level design, perfected bosses and tough but fair difficulty is all missing haha. It's got some solid aspects but plays like a souls knockoff. You can tell Miyazaki wasn't involved.. He was making Bloodborne, and there's a reason it's the most beloved in the franchise almost a decade later haha. 3 is definitely fun though, nameless king is still top tier. Sekiro is definitely second best next to BB but still had the best gameplay mechanics and combat by FAR Boss rush mode still hasn't gotten old
