Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through KZfaq videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. You are right about his poise on stage . Early on in his career ,after he was getting known in the UK ,his agent got him some gigs over in Europe ( Belgium ,I think) and as it was a French speaking area he did his whole act in that language ,even though he didn`t know speak it well . It went down a storm , Ithink because so much is mime, which is international .

I remember when he did a thing about Blue Peter and tried to make something with sticky back plastic (couldn’t say sellotape on bbc), couldn’t find any sticky back plastic so he used a stickleback, which is a small fish and it didn’t stick down so he stuck the stickleback down with sellotape.. 😂😂😂

Eddie Izzard used to be a street performer, so that would probably explain the comfort around public speaking

Eddie is something of an aquired taste, largely I think due to his surrealism - my wife doesn't find him at all funny. But he is consistently incredibly funny.
