I find that I've been watching these Fender bass demos more for this guy's killer playing than the damn basses! Having said that, I kinda like this new passive Dimension V. However I haven't totally warmed up to this new body outline. I'd love to see Fender pop these humbuckers into a J5 body with the same passive layout.

Some years later and the Dimension has been dropped from the Fender/ Squier line - does anybody still have theirs? Waiting for mine to arrive - many of the reviews and videos here don't portray the Dimension in it's most positive light - some of the videos have the bass churning out muddy and characterless tones - I'm fairly sure that the palette is better than the videos suggest. I've heard a couple where the bass sounds solid and phatt which is what I want from a bass - yes this is a budget instrument but I'd still expect some quality tones from a Fender/ Squier bass - this is the 21st Century after all and if G&L, Lakland and Sire can do that, why not Fender??

I was just on the Fender web page and they are not listed. They don't show any Vintage basses like the '63 P Bass either.

Amazing bass, But as a lot of peole say, Fender is not ready to get a nice V string sound!

***** ah i get ya, sadly the fender design hasn't changed at all until pretty recently with these new dimension basses, which i personally think that is unnecessary, because i am a guy that likes simplicity, i love the fender precision bass and for more then 60 years now it hasn't changed at all, that's what i like it feels really good to play have an american 2008 lovely reliced i would not trade it for anything in the world, and hopefully Fender hears you out for them 24 fret basses, which honestly i have never seen on a fender bass. Cheers and Rock on ^_^
