I’m so sorry. The way you describe that pain is heartbreaking, I wish I had something more helpful to say than just “I’m sorry for your loss”, but I really am. I’m incredibly lucky that my mom is still around, but she only properly became present in my life around 19. My grandma raised me and was always my mom figure. She died when I was 17 and it devastated me. I’m 30 and it still hurts horribly sometimes, but back then I really didn’t know how I was going to survive that loss. But you make it through somehow and gradually the loss becomes less all-consuming. It can be hard to believe, but it won’t always hurt as much as it does now. Your love for her will never diminish but the pain will. Also yeah, fuck the guy in this video 🙃

It was so quick, everything went downhill in a matter of days. One day me and my mother were laughing and watching tv, then I watched her die right in front of me. Life feels so useless now, I never felt so impotent in all my life. I hope that time will help, right now I still hope to her her voice when I come back from university, I even miss our fights or the things that annoyed me about her before. And yes he is disgusting, my mom would never see me graduate university, get a good job, get married and yet he is there faking something so painful.

Me and my mother had our bad times but in these years we got so close, I told her everything, watched millions of series together, talked about the future. My mom wasn’t even 60 yet, she had a lot of good years before her and I don’t want to sound egoistical but I still needed her. Now I can’t even go in her room because all I remember is her telling me that she didn’t want to die and that she was scared and I couldn’t do nothing to help her. Hoping that with time things will get a little bit easier

It’s normal to adjust your accent to the people around you. It’s like a subconscious way to fit in, make it easier for the people around you to understand you. The way he was doing definitely felt fake though, since people losing their old accent normally weave in and out with the new accent, and have sort of a mix of the two when speaking most of the time. His “Australian accent” would be non existent most of the time, and then just randomly come out strong when he realizes he was supposed to be Australian

I work with someone who's lived in the US for 15 years and he still has his Australian accent, it's just subdued. But as soon as he comes across another Aussie that accent comes out strong. 🤣
