the marshall says a sarlacc pit is never empty then the mandolorian mentions that a sarlacc pit could be empty if it were eaten. Implying that the krayt dragon could indeed eat a sarlacc. Which makes sense as to how the Armour was recovered by the jawas. It was found in the poop of the krayt dragon.

Mando giving Droids a chance to fix his ship was likely him being influenced by the droid from season 1 who died from self sacrifice... I forgot the name.

Did you catch the KOTOR references? 1. The Krayt Dragon Pearl 2. That lair is the same (or modeled after) location of Revans mission on Tatooine to locate the star chart there. 3. The explosives (mines in KOTOR) used to bring down the Krayt dragon

The KOTOR references were so appreciated in this episode. Edit: the ones I found. The Krayt Dragon Anakins speeder turbine being used by The Marshal. The Krayt Dragon Pearl. Although in KOTOR it’s small enough to fit in a lightsaber (it’s a lightsaber crystal) it’s the giant shiny round ball the sand people get at the end. Also the initial technique used to kill the dragon was copy pasted but I didn’t mind. They also used Banthas and bombs to lure the dragon. Only in KOTOR the banthas lived 😂. Yes I instantly recognised the REAL Boba Fett.

When I saw that the Title of the episode was "The Marshal" I immediately knew Cobb Vanth from the epic Star Wars Aftermath books was finally getting an onscreen appearance. I was already a huge fan of the character and they perfectly cast him.

Remember, Boba Fett and his dad were never Mandalorians, they somehow found/took the armor. It’s confirmed by both George Lucas, Dave Filoni, and an episode from the Clone Wars (that was made long before the Disney take over, so no, this is not a construct of Disney. It has always been an original factoid to the series) Just because you wield a lightsaber doesn’t mean you’re a Jedi.

This one episode plotline could have been another hour and it would have easily been a better movie than all of the Disney sequels.

I really liked Timothy Olyphant's character being called "The Marshall" as a reference to his character from Justified; it is one of my favorite shows of recent years.

The fact this episode was almost an entire hour was amazing. I really hope it stays that was the rest of the season.

I love seeing the Mandalorian interact with previously established dangerous people like the Tuskan Raiders. It shows that 1. He's also super dangerous and feared. 2. He has the ability to understand and communicate with these other people.

One of the ONLY things about Star Wars that Disney has done right is this show, awesome episode.

That was the first time I saw a Krayt Dragon in a Star Wars feature , the other times they were just mentioned as warnings. So satisfying to see one in its glory and how truly terrifying they are. This show just keeps getting better . Very happy!!!

Unless they have changed the canon, neither Boba or Jango Fett are actual Mandalorians. Just mercenary bounty hunters who acquired their armor.

The whole episode was the KOTOR Tattooine level down to the little details, like using the Bantha as bait and the pearl! The Marshal's speeder is Anakin's POD racer repurposed too which is so cool! The Graffiti on the walls on the first planet, which I think is Dantoine, where you cna see Grevious, Vader, Separatist Droids! The lot! Great start to the season!

The spur sound affect is the ammo on his legs for his pulse rifle. You can see the ammo belts in episode 2. The sound is also probably produced by all the other ammo belts on him

I really do love that this episode was inspired by the Krayt Dragon quest from Knights of the Old republic, down to the importance to the Sand people and using mines to attack the under belly.

Boba was never a Mandalorian. It was just armor to him. Can't abandon something you never were.

The truth is the only connection Boba had to the Mandalorians was Jango, and that ended when Jango died. Afterward Boba didn't go to Mandalore or be taken in by one of the other Mandos at Kamino. Nor did he show up in Clone Wars or Rebels to fight beside Sabine and Botana. He was a product of the galaxy's seedy underbelly. He became a bounty hunter that would actively work for Vader and the Empire. Boba's involvement becomes even worse as the Mandalorian expands on the Galactic Empire committing war crimes against the Mando people: The Purge and Night of a Thousand Tears. Meanwhile in the pilot episode we see Djarin discussing payment with Greef and he refused Imperial credits, accepting half payment in Calamari currency instead. When Djarin brought the beskar to the tribe they were not happy to see the Imperial stamp on it - for reasons above. Mandalorians put the welfare of the tribe before personal glory or riches, and I don't see the Boba Fett as we know him doing that for a people that are essentially strangers to him. He certainly wouldn't be camping out in the sewers with the Covert or risking his neck to aid Djarin and Baby Yoda during The Sin. Boba Fett is a classic Star Wars character but he isn't a Mando, he's a bounty hunter.

That IMAX transition when the final fight started was amazing. Visuals off the chains. Fight scenes were amazing. The music was classic. What an episode. Hopefully, the remainder of the season is just as good if not better.

The Mandalorian makes me want to be in the Star Wars universe again. Something I don't feel since the KOTORs games. It makes your creativity fly high with such rich lore and universe now finally done justice. The theme song gives me chills everytime.

Btw Boba after isn’t actually Mandalorian, neither was Jango Fett. Jango has killed a mandalorian and taken his armor, and was actually being hunted by the mandalorians. Boba is Jango’s clone but went through normal process unlike the other clones so he didn’t have the aging problem they had. Even though I don’t remember how Boba got his armor, whether same way his father did or if it was prepared for him, but he isn’t Mandalorian, never followed the culture or got initiated.

Boba escaped by cinvincing it to crush part of his jetpack, allowing him to escape, the first time,.. the second time he cut through and blasted out. yeh he got swallowed by a sarlac twice.. I'm pretty sure they are going to keep it to similar continuity as to not piss off fans too much lol (The Krait Dragon was living in a dead Sarlac pit... HINT HINT)

I think the Mandalorian is shot beautifully. The cinematography, special effects, costumes, sound is top notch. Its a quality series. However, the writing is just kinda boring and predictable. I dont think this first episode and the last season was bad, it just didnt really have any direction imo. Every episode is just him coming across people in need and then he helps them. Its seems to follow a formula. I just wish there was some kinda overarching plot besides protect and deliver baby yoda. Theres not much to it, at least not yet. Still a great series, the visuals carry it tho imo.

When Mando rides into town it reminded me of the scene in high plains drifter.
