A lot of Indian kids learn 3 languages at the same time from a young age. English, Hindi and their regional language. This helps a lot in becoming a well rounded person. I myself know 5 languages now, and understand a bit of korean and japanese, so maybe 7. My curiousity for languages have increased. Your baby will grow up to be a diverse, smart, cultured and very very interesting person because she has interacted with so many people! People will love to know more about her! Because she has so many unique experiences that are different from the average korean. She is so blessed to have amazing parents like you! Lots of love!

When we grew up in India, five languages were spoken at home. My brother didn't talk at all when he was little. When he was two our mum got really concerned and went to see a doctor. His first question was about the number of languages spoken at home. On hearing five he explained to our mother that my brother was trying to separate the different languages and once he had figured them out, he would start speaking all five languages at once and in full sentences. He was right, my brother started (--and hasn't stopped ever since😄)!

Adapting to a trilingual environment may take some time, one of my relatives daughter also started speaking late around 1.5 years but once she started she understood english hindi, malayalam at once, she is 8 now

Hey dont worry about it. Most indian kids living in india also go through the same. My kid also grows up with hindi odia and english. He is also taking his time to come to terms with it. He is 4. Because india is multilingual , all couples who marry in a different state have a similar experience with their kids. It's all going to be okay.❤

Actually kids till the age of 6 can pick up languages very fast so she can learn all the 3 languages easily without much trouble. I myself was learning 3 languages when i was like 5 but then again its very common for us Indians to learn multiple languages 😊

My daughter also here up speaking 3 languages: Bulgarian, English and Hindi, and she was equally fluent in all three! Then Bulgarian was replaced by Spanish and then by French, and she never had a problem. So don't worry - your adorable baby will be just fine!

Babies are natural sponges for languages - very good to see her being trilingual!

Let her speak Hindi and English. She will learn Korean from listening to you talking to your husband. The focus should be on English so that she can communicate and bond with her teachers and other students at school. Also she looks just like JamJam in that last picture.

We commonly learn 3 languages in India. Regional language, Hindi and English. And many of us learn 4; ie, Mother tongue, regional, Hindi and English. Some of us learn 5; ie, Mother tongue, native(village/colony) language, regional language, Hindi and English. Sometimes it can be 6 when your regional language has further different regional forms/accents. I personally know a few more native languages because of my social life and interest in cultures. But I don’t know many International languages. She is quite lucky to get to learn languages from 3 explicitly different parts of the world. Also her age will allow her to learn them much quicker and much efficiently. ❤

To the mother: Please don't get worried about the slow development of your daughter's language skills. My child was exposed to four languages at the same age and she had the same 'issue'. As your paediatrician should've told you, this is normal and that once she starts talking, you will not be able to stop her even for a second :-)

The more language she learns the more smarter she will become it's a Indian thing..Indians are in all over the world they knows most of the languages..your daughter will learn quickly as kids are the smartest
