this is motivating. Dont have much money now, essentially can only afford at 316/318 BMW that are sold locally. Glad to see that such horsepower cars can still drift, since from discussions online everyone always said that those cars would be too weak, but doesn't seem like they know what they are talking about!

you can do it pretty cheap, just remember you can always buy used tires for the track and weld your diff screw angle mods, screw suspension (unless your struts are blown), screw the hydro e brake. you don't need any of it to have a good 'ol time thrashing your car around lol rain and snow are the best for a RWD car

dude, ive drifted alot of fast cars and slow ones and its not even a question that lower hp cars are the best, tires last longer on runs, tandeming with friends is so much smoother and more fun and the best of all you are having a blast without having to drift at 60mph which if ur doing street drifting where i live in mexico theres a big chance ur gonna get fucked by a pole

When I started drifting I started with an r33 rb20e super low hp engine but through learning with limited power advanced my skills quite tremendously compared to if I had started with something with more power.

My very first experience drifting was with e36 325td (Diesel - 115hp). Jammed tons of air into the rears (was running r15s) it was a blast. It went 3rd gear no problem till turbo would overheat. (since 2.5td is without intercooler from factory) but yeah low power can drift and IMO is way more fun because not only you have to keep it sideways but also u have to constantly think how you gonna approach corners due having low power (which often becomes just higher speed entries = more balls)
