Missionary man, straight up and down! Lucky Mrs Forensic! lol I was never bothered about scented products but recently I've enjoyed using a scented shampoo, made the maintenance wash a more pleasurable experience.

I commented on one of your videos about the Turtle Wax dry & shine leaving a mess on my car and now watching this video I realised I missed some thing out. The black shine door trim panels the Turtle Wax has completely dulled the shiney gloss black look

see i use britemax virtue for "top ups" when i dont want to really cut, but merely cut off the stuck on grime and any of that crud and tops up gloss, then lay down car pro lite or fusso 99

Hi Jon. I was hoping to ask you for an advice. What do you suggest to use to tackle hairline scratches on the plexiglass cover of instrument cluster? I've scratched it when wiping dust off. Would silica polishes do the job? I also have Koch Chemie P02, would that work on plexiglass?

use a finishing polish and very soft pad and not much product. but I would be carefull, some intrument panels finished dont polish up well some do. just work a small section first. P02 would be a decent thing to try.. you can buy special plastic polish. work on slow machine speeds with low pressure as well.. might be easiest to remove the display first.

I just wonder, what do you use to wipe off all dust after 24hrs and before applying a coating?

you can use ONR if needed, generally though if its not windy theres very little dust in the garage and I could coat. you can use a soft duster as well though

I'm due to recoat my truck. How to these primer polishes help or hinder the adhesion of a coating?

I dont know if they help adhesion (hard to test) but they will fill the surface and make it look better if you dont have time for full paint correction.

I don’t wait 24 hours. Much like ceramic coatings that have an immediate topper, you can wait as little as one hour before putting on another silica coating.

To be fair i always thought it odd how companies describe car cleaning products and make a big thing of the smell?? I've always been more interested in how good it is and don't care how good or bad it smells. Must be important to some though!

@@Chris_8270 doesn't really bother me... If they're putting something in there to mask the natural smell of the chemicals then all they have done is alter the chemistry unnecessarily... I'd rather the product was as effective as it could be, I couldn't give a rat's backside about the smell!

Confession: I’ve washed my car maybe twice in the six… nearly seven years I’ve owned it. Polished it, never. One of these days I will. The way I see it though, cars are for using, enjoying, and making memories with. If you enjoy detailing, that’s great, and I probably would if I could find the time. But enjoyment and fulfilment is the name of the game I think

couldnt agree more. In fact im SOO in this head space right now. my clubsport has paint falling off it, Ive cleaned it properly once since I bought it, its generally very dirty. But I have a cool attachment to it and I reach for the keys to this car perhaps more than the M140i. Detailing should be about enhancing the enjoyment of ownership, but it should not be about feeling like you need to have an immaculately clean and polished swirl free car etc... And if you dont enjoy it or have the time for it then so be it, you can still love the cars just as much.

Welp..if not washed and clean rust starts,. Paint gets bad and looks bad , not safe with layers of crud and film on windshield, not only put your own life in danger, but innocent others ..dirty cars draws more attention to le witch can lead to fines and stops, many more issues not keeping your vehicles clean at least once a month
