Katrina's gym leader would actually be really cool. The idea that she's a very unassuming and upbeat for being a dragon gym leader, showing that anyone can like anything they want. And the way she fights is more passive, letting the pokemon act kind of their own while she would be more of a cheerleader that occasionally throws in a suggestion for what they should do next. Even though the pokemon act mostly on their own, with a little direction it's what makes her a powerful gym leader.This would show trainers that sometimes trusting in your pokemon and allowing them to act on their instincts & working together with your pokemon can make your bond stronger and your fighting skills greater. I like the idea that each gym leader teaches you an aspect of what makes a great trainer by having a certain exaggerated trait to how they fight. So honestly a really cool gym leader concept. 😁

If I were a Gym Leader, I'd definitely be Poison type. It's my favorite type and I totally vibe with the whole "gross/unappealing creature that's just trying to live its best life" aesthetic that Pokemon like Garbodor and Skuntank have. Since the two Poison gyms, Fuchsia and Virbank, have such wildly different aesthetics (ninjas and punk respectively), I don't feel obligated to make my Gym fit any kind of design theme like how all the Rock gyms are themed around rock-adjacent activities like archeology, mining, or rock-climbing. Therefore, my Gym would be mostly just a massive recycling plant that also has an area for fighting. The Gym challenge would just be an educational tour through the Gym. The challenge is that it's really stinky because I have a bunch of Pokemon that like to eat garbage, like Trubbish and Muk, living there so that I can do something with the garbage that can't be recycled. There would be a lot of them and they just kinda hang out and go to the garbage room when they're hungry. The educational tour would mostly focus on pollution and recycling, but the last leg of it would switch to explaining the difference between poisonous and venomous. I would conclude the tour by saying "I would be glad to show you the difference... in battle!" My team would include Pokemon who use toxins defensively (poisonous) and offensively (venomous). My Gym would focus on Double Battles, so challengers would have to deal with big defensive Pokemon backing up their more fragile, offensive friends.

I've never played DND but I would love a DND Gym. I imagine it's layout like the Normal Gym from gen 3 but the rooms are all different areas like a creepy Forrest and it would work like the Gym leader is the Dungeon master and rolls your difficulty of the next Trainer as you would go through the different rooms and you would hear them narrate a little story based on your rolls and your Actions, like "and the Combatetor decides to go into the swamp, but what is lurking in the Shadows? It's a Troll!" And the Trainer in the Gym are all in costume and have fitting Pokemon. The last room would be the Treasurechamber and they are the Dragon or something and if you defeat them you wouldn't get anything from them no money no items no badge it'll all be in the big chest behind them. That would be so awesome, maybe I try doing that in a rpg maker...

I love the idea of being a themed gym rather than a type gym, kinda like one of those Bonus gym badges that exist in the show that aren't directly needed for the Elite Four. I'd be a themed type leader (or ghost type) that ties in with the Dark Brotherhood. When someone fulfills the requirement to challenge my gym, they'll fall asleep one day and wake up in my gym.
