@@sawsansalem5681 you can talk to them and tell them how you feel but I don't think there is a exact way to convince them if they aren't open to accept you yet. Honestly, thank you. Also, I think of LGBTQ+ (in terms of understanding it) as like languages. Like, for example, I can’t speak Korean, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not a language that some people use, and some languages (parts of LGBTQ+) are similar, so it’s easier for people who use them (are that part of LGBTQ+) to understand each other.

aro/ace actually isn't lgbt, it doesn't even make sense that they would be ( if you experience same sex attraction or aren't cis gender you're lgbt, not being attracted to people at all/ being only romantically attracted to the opposite sex doesn't make you lgbt at all) but i feel like the community has a bad habit of going out of their way to exclude/attack a group because they don't experience as much oppression.
@skull5773 жыл бұрын
@@brooke7656 But if LGBTQ+ is just anyone who either isn't heterosexual or isn't cisgendered, then why aren't asexual and aromantic people included? They aren't heterosexual/heteromantic. Isn't LGBTQ+ supposed to be a community of people who don't fit what is considered the norm and provide support for each other when members might not have anywhere else to find it? It just seems pointless to exclude a group of people who aren't heterosexual/heteromantic for the same reason that they're excluded from the cishet group.

So almost a year ago I realized I was ace. Ever since middle school Ive been super uncomfortable with the idea of intimate relationships. Took me until two years AFTER high school to discover the community had a title for people who want a relationship for love, not sex. Im also Panromantic cause honestly as long as I can find someone who'll love me the way I love them then idc what they identity as so long as their romantic orientation makes it comfortable for them. Anywhoozy, my mom wants to know when I'll get a boyfriend and think about having a family. Hah well uhm I totally pussed out of (directly)coming out, and basically told her I'm a genetic dead end. This is because ever since puberty I've had a hormone imbalance that caused severely irregular menstrual cycles. These caused me to become anemic and to have a severe iron deficiency for a while, and supplements barely helped. To correct this I've been taking birth control probably for pretty close to 8 years now (approaching 22nd bday) the practicioner I go through told me when I turned 18 that if I ever want a family I'd have to come to her cause well. You can't get pregnant on birth control but I need it to regulate my hormones. Bit of a paradox there. Whale I told my mom I don't wanna deal with that stress but if the time comes I could very well end up adopting once I'm ready to support more than just myself any any partner I might end up with. She seems satisfied but not fully convinced cause as my mother she can obviously tell I'm not exposing the whole truth. Oops. My dad knows tho. Thanks to a nosy fucking cousin. But since my parents hqve been divorced since I could walk my dad doesn't see a need in telling her and that he will let me do it when I'm ready because he understands- not everything about it, but enough to respect boundaries. Thank heaven for that. Anyway thanks for coming to my /vent?/ Idk it felt good saying this

Ever since I was a child, my dream was to have my biological child (go through the pregnancy and the whole thing) and see them grow up with a loving, involved father. But I never considered what it takes to get there and the simple idea of dating and intimacy is making me very uncomfortable. I get the crisis, I'm having it like...all the time. I guess time will tell. I decided to not worry about it and just let whatever happens happen, but worry is my middle name so yeah, that's not going great. Part of me still thinks some switch will flip one day and I will suddenly find THE ONE, while most of me is kinda content with that never happening. If I become that stereotypical single old lady with a bunch of cats...honestly sounds like a happy ending to me.
