Pokémon Journeys: The Series (Pokemon Master Journeys) is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with "2019", the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Raboot. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear.

As a fan of Iris I really am glad of what the writers did for her development. From a very hated companion back then to the strongest trainer in her home region now 🔥 Iris proved that she is not what her haters always see her to be. Great episode & great job to Ash as well for being victorious 👏🏼

I hated iris not because of her battle strength. But because she was annoying. Like how can you call someone who isn't native to your region a kid because they don't know something that's only available in your region. You can't expect him to know everything like that. That's just an example of why I didn't like her. In this episode it seem like she has mellowed a lot and appeared cute, energetic and just fun. With some wisdom but still is a little feisty. If she was always like that she would be one of my top three poke girls.

@@pkmnproductions7461 I mean maybe to you she's one of the best, but popularity polls shows she isn't honey. Lol I personally found iris a more annoying version of misty. Her attitude was why she isn't very popular. its not like her unpopularity isnt justified. she came off as a unlikeable person in her season but had a interesting goal. wouldn't say dawn and Serena are may clones. They are actually quite different from her with some simalarities. There can be more than one coordinator as fans love the idea of them in game and anime. Now pokemom performers are different they are basically idols. Nothing wrong with sticking with what's a hit with the fans as well as introducing something new like they did with iris. I mean you might as well call iris a clone of misty if that's your arguement. Simalar snobby attitude and fear for a particular type of Pokemon. But you dont really need to down play others to build another up. Aside from that i liked iris in this episode. She appeared to have mellowed and was much more likeable.

Past is past anyway & I’m glad both of them got the development they deserve. They are both not little kids anymore ❤️

I actually saw a tweet explaining that Iris helped trainers to learn Draco meteor in the games after checking their connection and friendship. Same thing happened with Ash's Dragonite i think Correct me if I'm wrong.

Damn I wonder does anyone remember Scraggy? That was supposed to be the brother to axew and now look. He's completely left in the dark. Iris has a whole Haxorus and Scraggy is still where he was by the end of Best Wishes.🤦♂️ That's unfortunate. Oh but the episode was fire 🔥.

Our Pokémon Champion Ash Ketchum really have one of his greatest victories in Pokémon Journeys, especially in the Pokémon World Coronation Series with his Journeys team! Our Alola Pokémon Champion have a epic battle with his old friend and fellow Champion Iris in a PWC 2v2 match with their Dragon type Pokémon (which I totally f*cking called it!) and Ash end up being victorious! Ash's Dragon type Pokémon of his Journeys team being Dragonite and Dracovish also have amazing wins as well as their the first of our Pokémon Champion's Pokémon to actually defeat another regional Pokémon Champion and their Pokémon, with Ash's Dracovish defeating Iris' Dragonite in a quick snap with ease and Ash's Dragonite defeating Iris' Haxorus with a brand new move Draco Meteor as well as getting support from Iris and praising it's skills! Dragonite and Dracovish were able to get our Alola Pokémon Champion to the Ultra Class Rank! Our Alola Pokémon Champion and his Partner Pikachu as well as his Journeys team are getting stronger and stronger every day in the Pokémon World Coronation Series as they battle their way to aim to defeat Leon! They actually gotten our Pokémon Champion this far in his goal in the PWC and they really becoming his dream team in Journeys! I hope Ash's Journeys team win the whole PWC by themselves and become his Strongest Pokémon team yet without help from Ash's old Pokémon! I'm very pleased that Iris's Axew have finally evolved into Haxorus off screen at last although it's a shame🤔 we never got to see her Gible evolved all the way up to Garchamp in this episode or reveal to Ash that she caught a Gible of her own on her journey. But as for Iris I'm very surprise that she replace Alder and became the next Unova Region Champion, I didn't know this whole time she had return to conpete in the Unova League like Ash did.

I want Ash vs Volkner to go like this: Pikachu, Torterra and Infernape Pikachu vs Jolteon - Pikachu loses Torterra vs Jolteon - Torterra wins Torterra vs Electivire - Torterra wins (Tanks a couple of Ice Punch, with the last one nearly taking it out, but activates a flashback where we see Torterra and Glalie train, so the former could become more durable against Ice type attacks). This would be a beautiful redemption arc for Torterra. Torterra vs Luxray - Luxray wins Infernape vs Luxray - Infernape wins.

I liked how they made iris look matured and pleasure to watch in this episode. The battle was ok i kinda expected more since it was a 2 v 2. But iris's dragonite got one shooted by dragovish and right after that dragovish got one shooted by haxorus and don't know why but the animation seemed off. And also they pulled a another korrina battle moment where dragonite takes a lot of hits but opponent mon get one shooted so it wasn't a perfect episode but still really good.

Nice to see the callbacks to sinnoh with the counter shield and dracovish doing something similar to gibble shooting out that shuckle with dracometeor. Really think journeys should continue to hv ash use all the techniques he learned in the different regions, to show how far he’s progressed. Kinda looks like iris can use that power that one girl used in the arceus movie too. And finally, looks like we’re gonna get to see my boi VOLKNER

I still do not understand why people go on about the Alola champion so much. Like the ONLY worthwile trainer in that tournament was Guzma, and while he lost fairly due to his own mistake - it was still a 1 pokemon vs 2 and he ALMOST pulled out a win. Like come on, if you were the champion of Alola would you bring it up? Then people be asking you "Oh wow, that's impressive, what were the other participants like?" And then you have to admit to them that Team rocket made quaterfinals

Good battle. My only complaint is that Iris’ dragonite got taken out way too easily, it was tanking STAB ice moves from Mamoswine just a few series ago but now goes down to a single ice fang

I was expecting Dragonite vs Dragonite battle to be more longer and cool but it was one-sided and Dracovish defeating is kind of lame

Please let's discuss here Ash Dracovish - the most underrated king of surprises. Because of lack of his hands/paws he is overlooked by his opponents and they do not know what's hit them before it's too late. Awesome! And I think Dracovish actually has got the same kind personality as Dragonite, everytime he wants to say hello by "hugging" = chewing Ash as it doesn't have anything else that would help it to catch apart from his strong jaw. I pity Ash - to be actually drooled over every time Dracovish wants to say "hello"😅🤣

I felt like Iris should have won But some dope moments were Sirfetchd cutting the letter and Lucario being impressed Dracovish biting on Ash head than throwing him aside And Dragonite learning Dracometeor

No the writers don't ash to seem like he's better than anyone. Ash a mellowed out over the years. He's not a champ he's just ash ketchum.

This was a good episode I liked that the battle started with Dragonite vs Dragonite where Iris’s was dominating then Ash switch’s in Dracovish who beat it with Ice Fang making it the second of Ash’s Pokemon to use an Elemental Fang move and then Iris sents out her Axew who has evolved into Haxorous and it beats Dracovish I’m glad Dracovish atleast got a win and didn’t get the Gengar treatment from the Korrina battle and then Ash sents out Dragonite again how endures more hints and i liked that Iris talked to Dragonite through her powers to understand Dragon types and she helps its unlocked it hidden Power and i liked that we got a Glimpse of Axew as a Fraxure and I liked that Dragonite used Hurricane to defend against Psycho cutter and used Dragon Pulse to learn Draco meteor making it the second of Ash’s dragon types to use it and win Against Haxorous and rank Ash up to the Hyper Class and i liked that Iris is respecting Ash more as a trainer and only called him a kid once and i agree with some of your Cons They should’ve had Ash reveal he is the Alola Champion and the battles should’ve been longer and it a shame Scraggy isn’t here to see Axew all grown up.

Damn bro I totally ahh with you..... When I saw iris telling about her being champion, I was like " come on ashy boy....tell him she is against the alolan champion...."....but damn it never happened.....also the battle was too short..I hoped it had remained for atleast two episodes... Last but not the least.... I hated the ending.....ash said" best wishes"...... That's it common man every person when mets his /her old friend they try to catch up...not just say hi hello or do your job and ditch them right then and there.... But yeah rest all was great . . My rating is 7/10
