ATF's new eForm process for the Form 4 powered by Silencer Shop

Күн бұрынThe ATF released their new and improved eForm system which now also includes the eForm for the Form 4.
The Form 4 or “Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm” is a form for handling the registration and transfer of NFA items. You would submit an ATF Form 4, when purchasing an already made NFA item like a silencer, SBR, SBS or AOW.
The Silencer Shop team has partnered closely with the ATF to further simplify the eForm process by adding their Full Auto tool, which automates most of said process.
The ATF has provided an estimate of 90 days for the eForm approval.

I know people who are "waiting" for the eform times to go down and I don't understand why, if a current form takes 10 months, and it takes a year for forms to take 4 months, I'd rather get my supressor at the end of 2022 than to get it in the summer of 2023 (so long as wait times actually go down)

absolutely. If you're in the market for a suppressor, go ahead and buy it. I know lots of folks who were waiting because the wait times are so long or who were on the fence.... guess what, they still don't own a suppressor today.

Yo I’m looking for the best suppressor money can buy it’s for 300BLk out, money is not an issue what do you recommend

If money is not an issue I would go with the Rugged Radiant 7.62. It's modular and lightweight with great sound suppression. I'm sure there are other opinions out there but that's my preference. I like Rugged and I run the Radiant on my AR-10.

If I am doing a trust with my adult children, do they have to be with me when I do my e-form?

No, you would do the eform certification. But they will need to be added as responsible persons on the trust, and provide photo and fingerprints.
