Those are some beautiful looking speakers, and beautiful sounding. I really enjoyed the listening session. I listened via headphones, and is sounded as if I was at a live venue. I always love to see, and hear that incredible system of yours. Now I am off to find this piece of music!

YG, Magico and Wilson are running back to the drawing board. So much ecsquisit sound out of two moderately small drivers, amazing!

Great review. Thanks. I will definitely put them on my short list of speakers that I will consider for purchasing in the near future

Wow, listening through my Focal wireless and I kept feeling the low bass thunk my head:) then cartman flashed in with "respect my authority", indeed! Well done sirs, well done. Edit: The upper register of the piano keys had a pretty hard attack on my ears, don't know if it was the recording or the driver but had to turn volume down about 4 notches.

It sounds like they do everything right. I find speakers with no X-overs are so more dynamic and free

Thank you Peter. I have the white pair you heard at AXPONA last year. I was driving them with an Audion 2A3. I since bought a First Watt SIT3. The 2A3 has more texture, more psychedelic holography. The SIT3 is faster with much greater extension. Greater instrument separation in a still impressive 3D soundstage. I have heard the advice from you and others to place the speaker closer to the front wall. In my room this doesn't work. The soundstage sounds flat, no depth, it kills the holography. It is an over the garage room and has a sloping ceiling above the front wall. The speakers sound best with drivers 60" from the front wall. 84" between center of drivers. Sitting position with ears about 78" from drivers so large near field set up. Toe in set to cross well behind listening position. Toe in focused by ear to equalize vividness/solidity of center image with the rest of soundstage. Just a skoash of toe in in or out affects this quite a bit. I could not be happier with these speakers. They do indeed bring recorded music to life in my room. Thank you Peter and Srajan for bringing my attention to them. Thank you Jon for bringing them to the US and facilitating my purchase.

If you try this should help extend your bass and keep them out into the room the advantage of Sound stage. You need to make a horn behind the driver only 1/3 up tho the speaker sides, the horn is freestanding not connected to the speaker. Give the opening about a foot and a half either side of the cabinet ideally, at the back about no more than an inch from the corners extend the horn about halfway depth of the speaker. You need to get 6mm marine plywood and have it steam bent to half a tube shape. This could be achieved with very stiff card what you could shape yourself by rolling it with a rolling pin and get a piece of 2 by 2 Pine and make a two sided triangle, the vanishing point is pointing away from the back of the speaker to the front wall, extend the tip of the triangle bracing about 14" and fix the sides and back to the card with bonding cement builders adhesive to give its stability some extra foot might be needed because it's card and lightweight so on the back fasten a strip on the back of 2 by 2 if needed using lap joint no more than a foot wide to hold its position, would work better than being actually back to the wall and give you even stronger bass and lower bass

Perhaps what we call an "end-of-game" loudspeaker, for any serious music lover. It has an uncanny ability to present music as a whole and also to "light up music from within". Lowther could do this at its very best moments (only with special program). From a perfectionist point of view, it's a coloured loudspeaker. But what a colour it is! Vibrant and lively musical tapestries only come out of it! Surrealism exceeding, surpassing the recording itself! Every little bit of musical detail is highlighted and brought to life! Without any damage at all! If an audio component must, inevitably, have a character, THIS would be the one to go for. The rest of the chain (Kronos TT & tone arm, Etsuro cartridge, Sam Kim phono and Aries Cerat amp) was a match made in heaven for this marvel of the loudspeaker genre.

100% natural sound also becomes a bit boring to listen to when it comes to music (I think), but yes, agree that Cube Audio has the right sound frequencies for music listening.
@realtalk69872 жыл бұрын
No x-over...guss higher than an MRI. Magic!
@rvaillant4 жыл бұрын
Great job. How do the 3 cones produce different frequencies, or does the main cone also do the highs? Thanks
@cubeaudiofullrangeloudspea65424 жыл бұрын
I will allow myself to answer to your question. The cone itself, without whizzers would go to over 10 KHz in the response. Adding each additional whizzer would add some more frequencies (the smaller the whizzer the higher the frequency range) and due to interference make a change in the frequency response emitted by other whizzers and the cone. So getting best sound requires from us endless prototyping and listening sessions, since more often than not even very small changes in cone whizzer geometry cause big sound differences.

Yeah but the song played I know has a LOT of deep bass!.... its an amazing and audiophile recording. I am gonna listen to some more reviews. This could be my future speakers. I love exotic drivers!

Sir, It was Amazing realistic and detailed review for Cube Audio Nenuphar speaker, I have question regarding to which brand and model integrated amplifier tube recommend for this full drive speaker ? thanks
@robertkovler58264 жыл бұрын
Sounds great, impressive presentation. Heres the problem, I dont have 70k or more of equipment. How about a stereo amp and preamp combo about 7k complete. Id be impressed if it gives the same type of sound. Yes, I know it will be different with every amp.
@johnsweda29994 жыл бұрын
What about the 8-inch version in the forgot the name of it the twin open baffle 15" speaker system, should work well there connected to a box tube the driver what would give it its transmission line straight out the back. They go with that German one wonder why? Thinking about it probably work better with linkwitz subwoofer mounting the driver on top. it's a dual fully dipole 10-inch drivers goes down to 14 Hz. Have you listened to his last creation the LX521.4 , with his built-in active crossover and ASP or DSP. That is an underrated speaker u should have a listen on a good system, and set up positioning is crucial
@carlosb81304 жыл бұрын
They look a lot like the Voxativ 9.87 system, what do you think about the Cube Audio Nenuphar against the voxativ ones?
@antonsydorenko75722 жыл бұрын
Well. Even if it's a late response, driver construction is the main thing to look at. If you don't want to dive in details. 10 inch Cube drivers are more developed comparing to Voxativ 8 inch (at least because of more versatile size, which is better at lower frequencies) and have much more reasonable price
@yttean984 жыл бұрын
Nice speakers and the price is also very nice. I wonder which is profit margin, excellent I am not mistaken. Only the rich can afford them.

@r.n67753 жыл бұрын
Gorgeous speakers, I'm a full Range fan. However I find the music plays a role in how good some speakers actually sound. If you have simple music with just a few instruments most speakers can pull it off pretty well. Throw something challenging at them like classical or rock. Of course rock is mostly poorly recorded but not all of it is and really challenges the speaker. I love "Sound" but I love good music and wont litsen to something just because of if it's recording quality which seems to be an audiophile thing.

These do look like a breakthrough. If I were buying commercial speaker these would be top of list. In this review they are startling but almost too much. I think in your more recent cabin listening they are spectacular.

Music up to 6 hours a day ! it's not the hears that might be damaged, but seriously how does ur brain make it ? It's like heavy intrusion of the musician personality in ur psyche... Serious damage might occur there. I'd recommand the use of an old US Army helmet before beginning the day.
